One bad play and he could ruin his chance of having a promising NFL career.

By this reasoning, all future NFL draft picks should quit the team randomly throughout the season once their draft status is high enough. High school players should quit their high school team once they commit to a college, and pro players should only play enough to get that next contract.

Pro players are paid to do a job. The rest sure if they're not playing for anything. Regular season they still are.

Its 2023. College players are paid to do a job also.

Get back to me when the schools can directly pay. And enforce things like free agency or a draft or a cap. They're paid for their "name image and likeness".

May as well let Wisconsin think he's playing whether he is or he isn't. I'd like to see him one more time in a Tiger uniform even if only for a few plays or just hanging out on the sidelines.

Boutte's injury dropped him from a first round to 6th round, costing him millions

bullshite. Boutte's attitude and laziness cost him that. He had plenty of time to prove he was still that same guy after the injury. Just flashes of it would have gotten him drafted higher. Blaming it on a injury is a crock of shite.

Kelly game planning. None of the first round guys are going to play . Kelly just playing with Wisconsin so they don’t know who to prepare for .

How do you do this and not give it away with who is actually at practice though?

That was my point. He wasn't the same player after the injury.

I assume all the players entering the draft will sit until they announce they are playing

They can still change their mind until they hire an agent and/or leave the team to focus on the draft. If it hasn't been announced I am assuming they are available to play. If they're available to play, they're gonna play.

There's insurance for career limiting injuries. Get him a $100 million policy if the worst happens.

The bigger question is whether Wisconsin will score 40+ points on the Matt House defense.

Iowa held them to 6 and they have 11 transfers already.

I don't see Daniels taking off and trying to run the ball all day but a game plan that puts him at minimal risk of injury would be ideal

Did you see him breaking ankles against Florida? Can you imagine what he would do in the open field against Wisconsin? He wouldn’t even be touched.

Maybe he starts, hits Malik for 25 yards and they both call it a day?

Don’t think so but I believe Nabors and BTJ have practiced all week. I don’t think JD5 has practiced. I would think if JD is going to play, he’ll practice next week. Several practices are open to the media so I think we’ll have an answer sooner rather than later.
