Insisting not putting morgan at first, pinch hitting jones for pearson, then putting in little. I like JJ don’t get me wrong but the decisions he made today I just don’t understand.

Is what it is though. One positive from this weekend was bull pen did look better. Looking forward to next week as we traditionally tend to play well in Hoover. Geaux Tigers!

I don't understand not pitching Herring earlier when the game was closer.

Christian Little doesn’t need to be on the postseason roster. He brings absolutely nothing positive to this team

I mean how about the players not go 0-10 with RISP. That may have played a lot into a loss too.

Little should’ve never been brought in that was the worst decision of the game from JJ.

I think the sunshine pumpers actually lost us this game. Could you imagine how much better we would play if our whole fanbase jumped in on the negativity? Exponentially better

How many games has Little now lost for us, can’t believe JJ just won’t give it up.

Jay's philosophy is to win by outhitting the opponent! That's his mo... pitching and defense are secondary to winning games.

I particularly liked intentionally walking the bases loaded and letting Little 4 pitch walk the next batter to score a run. Was a bold strategy that I’m not sure is on Jay’s Coaching Baseball 101 crib sheet.

Game 3 vs A&M and game 3 vs Auburn. He certainly contributed to today’s loss, but the loss went to Coleman.

He played a huge part in the Miss St melt down too. Hopefully, Jay has learned his lesson before the postseason because of he doesn’t he could send us home at some point.

I didn’t mind that for 2 reasons. Force at any bag and it’s one of their top two hitters who can hit it out at anytime.,what I did not like is bringing in Little in the first place. I think he was using it as a last test type thing.

I did not understand pinch-hitting Jones for Pearson at all.

Wasn't he benched because he couldn't deliver in situations exactly like the one he was sent out there to face???

None of those moves are even controversial, much less to the extreme where it cost them the game

Why wouldn’t you start Morgan at first?

Really? Crazy seeing Jay commit all those errors in the field costing us the game, we should bench him already.

Agreed.

We lost by 4 runs. Little got pulled before he could do damage like he did game 3 vs Aub

The moves were designed with the postseason in mind. If Beloso can handle first, it allows for stronger OF defense. LSU is a much better offense with Jones hitting well, so trying to get him going is a reasonable gamble. LSU needs as many options as possible in the bullpen for postseason. I think Little had already proven a failure but Johnson clearly sees trying to get him right as worth the effort. He got too cute with the 9 run lead last week, but I don’t think we can judge his decisions solely in the context of one game. If he keeps doing it in the postseason, that’s a different story.
