If he asks about the lack of hitting and the answer becomes about the pitching, then the answer about the hitting is that the coach is frustrated with it. It’s not a non answer. There’s still information there.
Not necessarily. It could be the pitching was good and the guy adjusted. Some pitchers are better after a couple innings than others. That’s why we say “you better get him early” a bunch with certain guys. LSU had some of these types through the years.
If you listened to his final answer in Omaha last year to that dumbass little girl reporter on RISP struggles, he had an elaborate answer for her.

IMO, Koki asks good questions most of the time. I think he is doing a good job. CJJ does not seem annoyed by Koki at all.

Well the last beat reporter spent more time posting about cats and her life than her actual job. She also missed sec series for vacations.
So Koki asking dumb questions is a step up but he could be better.

So yeah you want the negative article I see
It’s not negative, it’s what’s happening.
Holman performing to the level that Jay said he would preseason isn’t a story. It’s meeting the expectations that were set.
A Jay Johnson offense struggling is a story.
It’s fine if you can’t see storylines, trends, and themes emerging. Because we have a beat reporter whose job is to do that.

And I again ask what are you wanting Jay to say about it?
I expected us to have to win mainly by pitching this year. Maybe you didn’t

Writing off this team over hitting would be a mistake.
It’s clear Tanks has to round into form and he is too good of a hitter not to.
Also Hayden will start to play better at some point.
Our offense will be fine.

I don’t care what Jay says about it, or if he says anything about it. I’m capable of understanding that the coach and the writer may have conflicting incentives and objectives and be okay with that.
I like that it’s being asked about though because it means that we have a beat writer that’s paying more attention to the games than their social calendar, which is a giant step up over the two previous beat writers.

Ummm. There are questions that he shouldn’t have to ask unless he is just that dumb.

You are pretty dense if you dont understand why he is asking that questions. Some of those questions need to be asked. Winning a championship doesnt absolve the media from asking Jay questions about potential issues.

I’m not saying “all” questions. I’m saying some because they are far too fundamental.
Go read Sam King’s old articles. You’ll see a world of difference between how to write. Of course what Sam did was not immediately broadcast on YouTube.
It was also when the paper wasn’t owned by. fricking Tulane grad. frick that rag and everyone that works for it.

Was listening to post game players interviews and came across this one asked of Milam
"How do you decide which side of the plate you're gonna hit on?"
Holy shite... that's bad. Anyone know who asked that one?
Holy frick that's an amazingly stupid question.

She was liked by everyone except the tards on this board who have no understanding of journalism. Her joke to Kelly got blown way out of proportion.

Very debatable.
I don't need to see someone's mental health crises and other edgy shite mixed into their professional Twitter account.

until he started asking the coach and players some questions they didn't find advantageous to answer.
What were some of these questions?
You said he started asking non-“softball” questions. What are some of those that he asked?
Was he the one that asked Milan how he decides which side to hit on?
