Mulkey is one of the best of all time in her sport. I love jay but let’s see his career play out before saying this

I think it's Mulkey followed by Kelly. Mulkey is in a class by herself. And remember that Jay took over the best program in the country and a returning team that made it to the final 16. LSU football is a good program but not THAT good. Plus, it was in shambles.

Two weeks ago, Kim wore that title.

JJ has still four Nattys to go to catch Kim.
If he had won a couple at his previous job, maybe.
Kim has done it at two different universities. Both universities had never won a championship in women"s basketball.
Johnson, on the other hand is winning championships after Skip and Paul.

he got roasted during regionals.

hell there were people bitching that he didn’t start Skenes in the damn finals.

i’m surprised nobody called for his head during the Natty Celebration at The Box

that’s like saying Saban won titles after Bear and Stallings.

there can’t be more than a couple kids total on the roster last year that were even alive the last time Skip managed a game for LSU.
and most were in Kindergarten when Paul won his.

Then why does Johnson give credit to the accomplishments of Skip and Paul as a selling point for him accepting the job.
Why did Coach Brady give credit to Brown for making his job easier to recruit.
Skip and Paul built the reputation of LSU. Johnson is building on that foundation.

Kim is building a program. If she continues her success, her successor will have an easier time.

Kim Mulkey is the most elite HC at LSU. 4 NC's at 2 schools and in HOF assures her of that place.

Her current team is 18-4 and nationally ranked EVEN though she lost two important pieces to her squad in Nov-Dec.

Jay is a SUPER HC. I expect he will win more NC's at LSU and challenge nationally most years.

I like something CJJ said about Kim Mulkey. He said when she walks into a room you just sit up straight and listen.

After his first game I said he'd win multiple titles here and got laughed at. I don't think anyone's laughing now. He's a tremendous coach and I hope he stays here for a long, long time. I think he loves LSU more than Mainieri did. Not a knock on Mainieri, I just think he really loves being here and wouldn't take another job anywhere else. He's worth double what we're paying him.

Mulkey and Johnson are still 1A and 1B as the best coaches on campus.

Yep. Let's see what life is like without the first two picks in the MLB draft.

Some of our fan base is so fricking soft and suffers from catastrophe syndrome.

I hate to see how you handle adversity in your personal life

Hope you are right, but it's only been 2 years. Sample size is way too small, even including his time at Arizona to make that statement.

But you already knew that. Congrats on laying something down that would get the keyboards stirring.

To be clear though, I hope your statement ends up being spot on.!

we have a giant football fanbase that also cheers for baseball but doesn’t really understand how to cheer for baseball. Getting mad at a team that’s basically a lock for the postseason at any point during the regular season is absurd.
