Could be, maybe, but might be of some undefined possibility…but probably indeterminate.

However, it is likely that there is a chance or perhaps lack thereof.

There is no way to say for sure, but all signs point to there being questionable feasibility or workable capacity.

So you want a coach with consistent success but no titles? You think thats better than 2 titles and another runnerup?

It would be nice to win titles while also not sucking on the years in which you don’t win titles.

Answer the question, its either or with these 2 coaches. It should be an easy answer for anyone being honest with themselves

They all know the answer they just put too much stock into their identity as an lsu fan. LSU looks bad they feel like they look bad. It’s petty and weak but it is what it is. They are passionate at the very least.

I did answer the question. Winning national championships is absolutely incredible just like having seasons in which you go 9-19 in SEC play is fricking unacceptable.

There’s a certain standard of play that’s bare minimum here and Jay knows that. We in no way shape or form came anywhere close to meeting it this year.

Two things can be true at the same time.

Unacceptable to who? I accept it, the administration is definitely to accept it, several other fans on this board accept it. You are going to be made to accept it as long as you plan on being a tiger fan because Jay isn’t going anywhere. You don’t have to be happy about it. No one is saying they are happy we aren’t competitive. Sane people understandably accept it though and look to improving. In 2 years if we still look this bad it will become unacceptable.

You don't know what unacceptable means.

Agree. Most mis-used concept on this board. Most saying this do not believe Jay should be fired this year, yet call the results unacceptable. These goobers lack education.

Are both of these things not true? Johnson isn’t even on a warm seat but he can’t have many more seasons like this.

Both of those things can be true without contradiction. This season would be a fireable offense for any coach that didn’t have the skins on the wall that Johnson does.

Unacceptable doesn’t mean you are fired today for your horrible performance.

It’s a warning or put on notice to change what you're doing now. JJ will be given every opportunity to switch from arsonist to fire fighter next season.

Who would be the other candidates for best? Nobody comes immediately to mind that can be ranked ahead of J.
