"There is nothing I want to do more than suit up in #7 for the LSU Tigers" Except quit. He wants to quit more.

Looks who's never had to make a tough decision before, everyone.

It's a business decision and I have to admit I would have probably done the same thing. As fans, we sometimes fail to realize one injury and it could all be gone. I wish him the best of luck in the NFL! I refuse to watch the NFL, but I'll check his stats every now and then! Thanks for representing LSU in a first class manner. Time for you to go do you and get paid! Geaux Tigers!

Wish him the best and hopefully he goes on to be a great ambassador for LSU. We could use another good one after seeing some of them show their arse lately.

I still don’t think this has anything to do about making money. If it was, the decision would have been made 5 months before the first game, not less than a month.

What do you know about the decisions I've made? Nothing. Let me enlighten you, I made the decision to pull the plug on my father. I made decision to bang your mom too. That one was tougher.

In my opinion I think a lot of it has to do with this shite is just not fun this season. Getting tested 3 times a week. Not being able to do anything but football. No parties, no girls, no going to the bar. Hell they can’t even go chill at a friends house if there are non teammates around.

If I already had a first round pick lined up why in the hell would i jump through all of those bullshite hoops just to risk injury in an empty stadium?

I’d opt out too.

Good luck, young man! It was a pleasure watching you use your craft to destroy every other team. Don't listen to any of the yahoos on here.

Chase’s father basically confirmed with Jacques why he opted out.

Reason #7894 politics has no place in sports

That’s the problem with it being such a big money game now. Players aren’t playing for love of the game anymore. It’s all about getting to next level and collecting paychecks. College gridiron glory doesn’t matter much.

It's not a "problem". It's fair.

Would have gone down as one of the great LSU receivers, but not now. Not in top 6.

That was a very heart felt note written by Ja’Marr.

I can only imagine how difficult it was for him to open up his laptop, while experiencing so many emotions, and type something so eloquent.

A leader on the field and with the pen...

He was the biletnikoff winner and on the best offense in college football history. He’s one of the great LSU receivers whether you like it or not.
