This is getting old.... every year there is some scandal with one or more of our football team members. I say that we need to let these guys go to another non BCS school and finish their careers. The distraction caused by these players is worse than the on the field loss of their skills.
After three or four players are shown the door perhaps the players will understand that if they get in trouble they are gone. It could perhaps also bring in some different kids to our program that will not come here because of all the garbage.
Let's be honest about our recruits. If they are good enough to be recruited by LSU they are good enough to be recruited by 10 other BCS schools. How many players do we lose because they don't want to be associated with the LSU players who always seem to be getting into trouble?
While we are at it let's get rid of Miles and bring in a coach with a clean record. We are not going to win another title under Miles so this is a good excuse to get someone new.

Wow seriously the dumbest thing I've ever read when it comes to an opinion of sports. Just wow that was such a dumb thought.

I've been telling y'all since this shite went down... Jae is not the type of person that you would expect to even get in a fight, much less hit a woman... When he told me what happened last week (before all this went public, I expected the worst - and this place didn't disappoint) he was scared to death.. The dude was almost shaking..
Just wait, the truth will be out soon enough then I think a few apologies are gonna be in order.. I hope his name gets cleared
I told y'all
If I could upvote this 100 times I would. I have no connection to anyone but the whole story sounded strange from the first time I read it. There had to be more to it.

He may not have done anything. Try and keep up and don't cast judgment immediately based on one persons account.

the arrest came on the heels of him thinking it isn't a big deal. cops were pissed about his non co-op, so the arrested him.
having worked in a prosecutor's office, most likely the investigator wanted to talk to Mills and get his side of the story before handing the case to the DA to draw up an indictment. This is very standard when the only evidence presented is a story from one party and especially in cases where an alleged assault/battery occurred without substantial harm and/or the use of a weapon. This also why charges weren't When Mills failed to talk to the investigator as they investigator knew his case was weak as it stood and would be difficult to stand up to a grand jury if formally indicted. They did, however, have enough to charge him, as the burden to charge is not high at all. The only thing I think them being pissed of or annoyed led to was arresting him at 2 in the morning instead of letting him turn himself in or arresting him at a reasonable hour.

also, in summation, this case won't go anywhere. all the evidence is circumstantial. there's an admission of guilt by a third party. no one was seriously injured. and any witness to the event won't be credible as it's pretty clear both parties are just pointing the fingers at one another as to who the initial aggressor was. unless the state wants to have another dog and pony show and have egg on their faces again like they did with the Jordan Jefferson circus, i'm fairly confident the charges are going to be dropped, and at most, they will be reduced to a misdemeanor. If this went to trial, it is highly doubtful a jury would convict beyond a reasonable doubt based on what is out there, not to mention it would also be a waste of the district attorneys time to go through with the case given these circumstances.
