I agree, but i think he has a year to get it done. Work at QB, maybe win out the job, if not have a redshirt year and transfer to a team with a better plan to utilize his talents. I dont know for sure where he fits

I get it, but split on it. I was hoping he would move back to defense and earn more pt. The kid has instincts that can't be taught and was hoping they found a way to get him on the field more.

Isn’t that what this is?
RB room is deep
DB room is deep
WR room is deep

Nuss is our guy but isn’t a run threat, let’s try Jajuan

Love this move, this guy can sling it and a good vision as a dual threat. He is to talented to sit on the sidelines.

________

The DB room is much better than it was, but still feels like his best shot to get much pt. I agree on the depth of the other spots.

I love him in the wildcat, but guess that we hardly ever use him in the role. With his instincts, he could lead the team in picks as a db.

If they can come up with some Taysom Hill-type packages for JuJuan, our offense will have a dimension it has never had before

I and many others mentioned last season the wildcat package that LSU does NOT have and the majority of other teams DO have. I know that J Johnson broke the all-time career record for offense for LA HS players at QB so I assume he can run well and pass at least decently (I don't follow LA HS football as much as many here). Bottom line: he COULD be the best wildcat QB in the history of college football since most running the wildcat can't pass a lick. BTW, I'm NOT qualifying Tim Tebow because he was also the starting QB.

If Joe Sloan doesn't implement a wildcat package for a team who had all kinds of trouble converting short yardage and scoring in the red zone, he is NOT qualified to be an OC. 'nuff said!

If JuJu Johnson has to play QB, we're in big trouble. He can't out athlete players in the SEC like he did in High School

He wasn’t the starting QB in 2006 when he had 5 TD passes in 33 attempts and 8 rushing TDs.

Obviously Nuss is option #1. I would assume JuJu is just a dual threat option unless he is actually better than MVB.

Not sure that’s accurate after seeing Milroe & Sellers last year

I’m a supreme believer in Louisiana athlete. It would be be amazing if he turns to be a Dylan Gabriel type QB.

I’m not Johnson’s dad, agent, brother…but I saw him play in HS and I’ve talked to several coaches that coached against him and all say the same thing…in a wildcat package, he is a game changer

This. As soon as I saw the news on this I knew immediately this is a big move to help the team in the redzone and 3rd/4th and short. Plus he's enough of a threat to throw that you can't just put an extra hat in the box and let one of our WRs just run by you with no safety help.
