Sucks he had to go there

That’s a great organization to be drafted by. You’re not going to win anything, but he’ll see the bigs quickly and if he plays to his ability, he’ll be traded to a contender before a big contract.

I'm happy for him. Being selfish, I wish we could have watched him play one more season.

There were some posters here who didn't understand why he was in the lineup. Crazy.

He's a great hitter, and does it from both sides of the dish.

Not if he can’t figure out how to throw the ball to first. His bat is elite, but only so many spots for DHs

As a switch hitter with power from both sides, he has a shot to make it at DH

We’re in Doughty territory right now. Could be called any minute or he could hang around until tomorrow

Uh, yeah. Only 15 more spots in the bigs since the NL went DH.

I was under the impression that you weren't draft eligible again until after junior year. Did that rule change?

Congratulations Berry! This is freaking Awesome. But is is sad that I won't see him with the Marlins down here in Miami. By the time he is called, Marlins will have relocated to Las Vegas.

I think it’s being 21 years old.

Edit:

Players at four-year colleges and universities are eligible three years after first enrolling in such an institution, or after their 21st birthdays (whichever occurs first).

Got called up to AA this past week (Pensacola blue wahoos)

I watched him today against the Mississippi Braves

My son was decked out in an LSU jersey and he came over to talk and sign a couple balls before the game. Super nice and chill

Ended up hitting a berry bomb
