Round 1 of playoffs.
He’s a Mississippi State commit. Wonder why we couldn’t keep him in state.

Because Mississippi State is probably using a higher scholarship allocation on out of state pitchers, just like we do.

You’re telling me he’s getting more there than what he can get through tops + scholarship here in LA?

I dont expect many to get the reference here either lol

Probably based on the history of pitchers coming out of Barbe/S Lake Charles little league. They have generally pitched so much they have very little left.

I don’t know when he signed. I bet he’s going to love pitching in that new stadium for 3-4 years though.

I don’t know what he’s getting. But we have like 4 of his teammates committed so it’s not we haven’t seen him play.

What if he ends up being average or below average in college? Will you wonder why we couldn’t keep him in state or will you not care?

They recruit and offer early. CPM has missed too many times in LC and gets too wrapped up worrying about passing his eye test. The LC kids that go play at LSU do it because they love LSU but have to wait for their LSU offer with others on the table. Read into that however you want, but it’s the truth.

Yep walker would have missed all of last season due to injury
He’s already got three pitches he can command and that’s what makes him good on high school level
Denham was not very good this year
I’m surprised they even threw walker against them
They could have thrown way down the line and beat them

DM, Barbe has won for years by playing solid baseball, and mastering small ball. Please name these great LL and / or Barbe pitchers that were destined to be great at the next level, but didn’t make it due to your theory. The only one I remember was Wade Leblanc and last I checked, he did pretty well.

I was just curious. I didn't know if you were already declaring him a college star that we missed out on or not.

That was like 1 kid in 2002.
Actually, 2. The 2nd one is pitching in his 13th mlb season

Ell, I don’t know how State does their scholarships but they definitely can give more than LSU in some cases. I personally know of 2 kids it’s happened with. LSU got one of them and the other went to MSU

Is he a better HS prospect than Kale Breaux?
