O somehow getting him to come back would be a hell of a recruiting job.

Cox coming back would be Cherry on top.

It would be amazing and would be a huge boost to next year’s defense, but I highly doubt it happens. Out of every eligible player we have who actually played this season, he has the most reason to go ahead and leave. Plus, he kind of came here as a hired gun for a season and doesn’t have the same attachment to the program as a 4-year player recruited by this staff. I certainly wouldn’t fault O if Cox leaves.

Cox accepted a Senior Bowl invitation in November. He's gone.

I hope he has a good career in the NFL.

Irony is if he gets drafted before Dylan Moses.

Is it though? I just don't see it

As long as he doesn't hire an agent, he can return.

I feel like Cox and Isiah Simmons are similar prospects. Athletic tweeners with size and speed. The NFL will put Cox in a position to succeed

I think the new DC pick effects him more than anyone else. The right hire and he comes back. If the new DC brings in a system that he thinks doesn’t fit him well, he’ll go and be a 2nd-4th round pick.

One of the best cover LB's in the country. He'll go high. Could he improve his position with another year and better DC. Yes but if he goes not a bad decision either.

Why not stay and be the first LB taken next year

Is that how it works?

I doubt it. He is a top 5 linebacker.

Why would he stay?

I wish him the best in the NFL, but I thought he was a big disappointed when you compare him to all the hype when he arrived. I will admit he improved the second half of the season, but he just wasn't a top-tier SEC LB. Too many times I saw him chasing down receivers/rbs 15 yards down field because he was out of position or made a bad read.
