Jay doesn’t strike me as a money over everything type guy. He also gets paid a lot of money here so I’d be willing to bet LSU would match to a certain extent.

The only job that could pay him more than what we could is an MLB team.

Leaving for any other school would be a demotion/downgrade.

Hot take, but raise ticket prices to help fund the upgrades Jay wants. Baseball tickets are cheap, relatively speaking. You have folks in the grandstands who attend <10% of games per year who don't bat an eye at stroking that check. Call TAF to find out what it costs you to get into the grandstands.

Get rid of the bleachers and charge more for the outfield seats.

I really don't give a shite about chasing basketball success.

Depending on how this year goes the Aggies want Rob Vaughn. They wanted him last year but he passed because they did not want him to Coach Regionals. I worked with his dad in Alaska so this come from a solid source. His Dad played baseball for A&M back in the 60's and he grew up in Spring so there is a connection.

But on the Original Topic you give Johnson Whatever He Wants!!

I'd pay more in a heartbeat. They are ridiculously cheap IMO.

People will NOT give up their LSU season tickets for a 15-20% increase. Ain't happening.

The Box was plain when it was new. It is nowhere in the same stratosphere at St, Ole Piss, or Arky right now. Time for some serious upgrades. Just take the Rev Share from Basketball. LSU DNGAF about that anyway!

he wants an indoor infield area for practice

I am curious where it would be built? In part of the bullpen lot?

No shite, now that Lane is in the house, there will be extra revenue generated by the buzz and anticipation of what's to come next season. Take that added revenue, drum up a little extra and build the facilities necessary to maintain this wave of momentum Jay has going.

You can. It’s not widely publicized but you can write LSU baseball on an envelope with your donation inside and tape it to the Mike statue in front of Alex Box.

Yeah, without this I don't think LSU can ever compete with the likes of Tennessee, Wake Forest, Florida, Arkansas, UCLA, and Coastal Carolina.

I didn't realize LSU was located up north in the shitty Midwest where snow is still on the ground into late March/early April.

I still think they need more seats out there. Sure they’d be empty during midweek games and most of the season but I still contend once regionals roll around you could put 20k in there for post season baseball and lsu would make their money back on baseball.

I agree with State and Arky, but Ole Miss isn't anything to write home about. The box is much better.

I don't see anyone topping what State did or even wanting to. They are rumored to have the highest rev-share allocation in the conference. I think they have accepted the reality of where they stand in the football pecking order.

I’m in a financial place where I’m going to start donating to LSU.

Great question. Yes, you can make designations.

I don’t know if this is legal or what the rules are necessarily. Could we start a fund on here and give all of us an opportunity to contribute to facilities if we want to/can? Then it goes straight to Jay?

Man shut that shite up. Dont go to the games if it hurts your back. Put all the money into the product on the field. You would rather have some cushioned seats and have the Auburn baseball program? GTFO
