That is why he is getting paid the big bucks. He is feeling the heat from the fans and he knows the standard of LSU baseball is high and they failed this year. I believe he will get it turned around next year. He has some tough decisions to make in a month or so.

Maneri mail it in after a natty, admitted to it and eventually couldn’t right the ship. Johnson won 2 and follows the second with the biggest checks to players we have ever seen, most expensive roster and it cannot win. Worst pitching staff I believe I’ve ever seen top to bottom. Scoring 8 runs in multiple games and still losing is pathetic. Watching this looks like a total lack of coaching, discipline and in spots talent. Major misses in the portal, high rated guys not panning out happens but not scouting and just going off the internet rankings of players to cut big checks bothers me. Touring the state and beating your chest about this team preseason and having these results shows a total lack of awareness. It’s upsetting to say the least

Heat from the fans doesn't matter. If it happens again, the heat will come from the media and the TAF. That will matter.

Nobody hates LSU better than LSU hates LSU. We have the worst fans ever. CJJ wins 2 titles in 3 years and a bunch of you who's biggest entry on your baseball resume is you coached little Bentley in rec ball at 9yo or for the really qualified you coached U12 travel ball for a year. Let the professionals handle things.

Huh? Jays main complaint this past offseason is that he didn’t have near the NIL spending needed to reel in the elite talent. That’s why he had to go get guys from Grand Canyon and High Point. Multiple LSU media guys have stated that LSU didnt even hardly spend half the $$$ in the portal that teams like Mississippi State and few other SEC teams did. So idk where you getting this spent ridiculous money on this portal class thing.

How does this happen at LSU? Who neutered JJ and why?

This doesn’t excuse the piss poor fundamentals we’ve seen all year and is a huge concern as well, but we should never give JJ 50% of MSU spend.

You have absolutely no fricking clue what you are talking about. The “fans” are the only thing matter. Do you think baseball is some big ticket corporate money maker? Why are you so stupid?

Do you really need to be a D1
Coach to critique this bunch. What impression do u think D1 coaches who scout this bunch come away with. Same as ours. They’ve stunk it up and no one knows why.

JJ has done this all his career big time high season fade back and then rebound.

He has done it here with 23 title 24 bad back slide 25 title and this one is worse but we are down key pitchers. If we had Evans and Moore healthy we make a regional as a 2 seed. It’s forced us to pull guys up and put guys in other roles. I think he also shifted philosophy from
24 because he thought the guys had a hangover and didn’t get a long so tried to get more character first guys and then didn’t pan out like we wanted.

I think JJ bounces back next year and likely starts to be way more consistent. It takes time after winning titles to get the program to not have a big head or maybe the proper big head.

Look at Saban won here then 04 we looked like a sloppy mess.

Won 09 at bama and 2010 his team struggled. Then he took off.

We might need to change up the SC work. Yeski also while being very dominant had a bad year at A&M before here. His staffs walk totals are insane but he also is elite, so I think he stays

Fat Scott was a disaster pouring money into WBB instead of baseball.

Verge has corrected it some

Johnson has three bad seasons in 5. His two good seasons were historically good as far as winning titles (still has never contended for winning the SEC).

At a certain point that’s who he is. Most seasons were going to be hoping to scrape into the tournament. Once every few years he’ll manage to pull together an elite roster with hopefully the best non mlb pitcher in the world (bc that’s the only way he can build an elite team) and he has shown he’s a good postseason manager.

Well PM had left us in a state of disaster despite that super appearance. A few good pieces but we had no starting pitching and no lefties when JJ got here.

So 22 he still scraped it together and made a regional that we really should have won.

This one has been historically bad but a few bad bounces and a few injuries took us from a 2/3 seed to this. It’s clear fat Scott pumping WBB over baseball hurt and our time in Omaha didn’t help us because of the ncaa calendar.

It’s pretty crazy how since about 21 or so every champion is struggling the year after. Miss state ole miss missing tournaments. Tennessee looked like arse all year plus Aggy missing post season.

Our 24 year drop was bad but not state or ole miss or Aggy bad like this year has been.

I’d put money JJ is taking top guys to fill in our young core.

I think the fact that everyone hyped this team up so much isn’t helping with how bad this has been. It should have seen it coming because while Evans was good last year he wasn’t sec Friday starter material yet so starting him was a problem.
