re: It’s irreconcilable, IMO. Cut a deal with the B1G & leave the SEC for the ‘27 season.

I think the Big 12 would be more aggressive in considering us. They have zero star power, unless you consider Texas Tech and BYU. The ACC has Miami, Va Tech, Clemson (for now), FSU (in a death spiral) but they also have the basketball powers.
Either is a big drop off in terms of prestige and money.

Us and ND start a new league

You aren't leaving the SEC. You belong here. You can't go to the B1G without AAU status. The only team in the B1G without AAU status lost it after becoming a member of the B1G conference. No school enters without it and Nebraska was an anomoly.
Stay in the SEC. Nobody will kick you out.

The B1G is in the money business like everyone else, and we are worth a truckload of money to any conference. The revenue from LSU vs OSU would be a good enough reason, and they stick it to the SEC

Nope. We don't want to be in it anymore. frick that. All this ridiculous media on top of LSU with this coordinated hit campaign on us. We're about clean ou frickers out on the way out. Say bye to the SEC and we'll be the ones to tear it down for you.

This is the answer. The Big 10 won’t touch LSU because of our academics. We don’t have the stroke to go alone. ACC is best case scenario if we are booted.
$1b athletic department speaks louder than academics.

This. But there's no reason we can't already be talking to other conferences to see where they're at so the minute we're dropped we can announce. And also announce our lawsuit for the TV revenue.
But also let's be real. There is no way the SEC is going to kick us out and renegotiate their contract with ESPN (which would be required, per the contract) and lose millions and millions of dollars. We all know what drives the SEC and it's not the best interests of amateur athletics. It's money.

They amended it for Nebraska and LSU has way more to offer than Nebraska. I agree with you they probably won't but I don't think it's as clear cut as you make it out to be. They have opportunity to kneecap the SEC by putting LSU in and getting a strong foot into the SEC market. They would be pulling SEC's second highest rating average market in 2 two decades by pulling LSU in. 6th in the country overall among all universities and 2nd in average ratings over two decades. That's a pretty significant brand when you consider the money backing it as well.
Everything else though, from academics to traditions to cultural fit don't make sense though.

And LSU ignoring the conference's ability to enforce rules

Sankey wants LSU to burn. This is personal. The vote will be 15-0. One radio head in Texas said he would hope the Aggies wouldn't vote to kick em out but that they expect it to be 15-0.
Maybe 15-0 to remove IF concessions aren’t made - not to just say “bye”

LSU didn't ignore the SEC's rules. Where is this coming from? They have worse offenders right now in the SEC than LSU. It's nothing but a personal ax to grind.

We are fighting the SEC to make their rulemaking without authority
You think the Big10 wants that smoke? That rabble rousing? The Big10, until recently, had unwritten rules about teams in recruiting talking to recruits committed to other schools in the conference.

We're not fighting anything, the SEC filed suit on us not the other way around. LSU had nothing to do with the players filing in court. Have you been living under a rock the past month?

Listen man, the Big Ten is very serious about academics. Not so much about coaches fricking kids and it being covered up, coaches punching players from another team or blatant cheating by a coveted academic institution (including this past weekend). Of course, The Unabomber was also a “Michigan Man”. Yeah, we need to really get our act together to hang out with those vaunted institutions.

We will see if this ends up true and that our team has no role in recruiting them while they were associated with pro team
