Literally everything he did after the national title has been one big disaster. He did not handle success well at all. He needs to look at Saban who never rests even after huge success. That’s why Orgeron is out of a job.
I think Aranda and Ensminger were the culture of the program. The more I think About it, O deserves maybe 10% of the credit for 2019. He is the constant that turns everything into shite, Aranda was the main variable that left and watched it crumble

I am now seeing how valuable Aranda was to that program. Very smart and calming presence that no longer exists

He is no different now than he was two years ago, four years ago, or 10 years ago. The people that carried him are gone and this is the result, nothing more or less.

I want O to go too. But it’s also pretty impressive as hell how quick he took us from the Troy and Mississippi State losses to literally the greatest team in college football history. I didn’t want him hired in the 1st place and know it’s time for him to go. Still,‘19 was worth everything bad and more. This glee you assholes have with all your tiny Asian-dicked “I told you so”s is very unbecoming. Do better, Egg.

When Aranda left the wheels fell off. If it wasn't for Aranda O would have never got the job because he has no fricking clue how to coach defense.

Read the book "Can't Hurt Me" by David Goggins. That's where you will be enlightened by success and what it means to some. Means little to nothing to Saban (IMHO). He just wants to get better and better and he's doing it. He's in the top 1% of the top 10%. CEO was resting on his laurels like a fat cat. He made it to the top 10% and achieved his ultimate "success." Simple as that.

No doubt. Which is what was so strange about how Orgeron was taking passive aggressive shots at Dave after he left. I clearly remember when O got the interim gig how much he went out of his way to praise Aranda. He was sucking his dick all over every radio station, almost to the pint of creepy. It was SOOOOO obvious that he knew he had zero chance of getting the full-time gig if he couldn’t retain Aranda after ‘16. And he knew he had to continue maintaining him after ‘17 and ‘18, when he could have easily bounced.

I mean, Aranda, Burrow, and Brady are the 3 most important people that made Orgeron generationally wealthy and allowed him to kiss and hold up that NC trophy. Ed turning on Dave was a horrible look and made it easy to see just how petty he can be and that he’s not capable of sustaining any real long-term success. Still, ‘19 was worth it.

Concentrating on Poontang, instead of Football, will do that.

The reality is that Orgeron could have given his all and it still would have happened because he's just not capable of running a top notch program.

2019 was Aranda on Defense and Ensminger/Brady on offense combined with elite talent.

When he lost Aranda and Brady, he lost most of the staff that held things together. Ensminger actually held it together to a degree last year, but with him gone, he now has nothing.

He failed miserably to replace those guys. Thus, he failed.

I have said many times how 1) I'm grateful for 2019 and 2) I'm glad as heck he's being fired.

It's no secret that he's surpassed everyone's expectations with what he put together in 2019.

It's also no secret that he met everyone's expectations by everything he's done since then.

And no, I can't do better and refuse to do so until Orgeron is completely away from this program.

I disagree. We just cut our losses quicker. Can you image where O would have us in two more years.

it’s like he didn’t care anymore after winning the national championship. It was just…..party time now.
i don’t think that was it. O was NEVER a good head coach. 2019 was the lucky combination of Burrow and Brady, with other offensive talent. 2019 masked, for a brief time, O’s poor HC abilities.

But after Burrow and Brady left, and Aranda too, O imploded quickly with more terrible coaching hires.

He got lucky with th3 Burrow transfer and then the Brady hire, and they combined for one glorious season. But O wasn’t building a sustainable championship program - it was just a one-off anomaly.
