That fish out of water starters role was tough to see. Happy for the young man. Very mature move to go back to relief.

It takes a big man to try something you love, realize it’s not the best place for you and be humble enough to take steps back in order to take steps forward.

Kudos, Zack.

He’s pitching lights out right now. Tigers are getting it together and poised to make noise in the tournament.

Zach Hess isn't the same Zach Hess as a starter. He's a natural as a reliever, and one of the best I've seen.

Maneri showed his weakness by letting Hess talk him into starting. Hess has A+ stuff as a reliever when hes throwing 98+ with his sick curve ball hes hard to beat, but he cant string that together with his emotional mindset and last for 4+ innings.

As a starter, Hess would never get out of the minors, as a reliever or closer, he could probably find a roster spot on any mlb team right now.

It’s been really painful to watch him struggle as a starter. Love seeing that fire.

Wow. Classic tRant idiocracy. Hess throws lights out and wanted a chance to be the next in line of LSU Friday night guys. It was a dual decision. Yes, it’s easy to see a guy who throws close to 100 mph could continue to be a great closer, but don’t ignore that Hess wanted his shot. Mainieri would only be guilty of not moving him back sooner. No one knows the background conversions behind this.

Can always count on the Rant for an early morning laugh.

He comes in with a dominating aura. He constantly has that “look” on his face. He’s just a different pitcher from the bullpen.

Hess walks in, forks shirt up, walks out.

Mainieri finally listened to the Rant.

Just like with Tyler Moore.

You literally made my point dumbass. Maneri is the one who should’ve said no.

Never mind the missed location, there was zero reason to throw a fastball on 0-2, when they are all whiffing on the slider. his fastball command is awful.
