I think he'll be great but he's a true freshman and doesn't need to play much this year outside of mop up duty

It's just we all know he won't be ready this year. He's a freshman coming off a major injury. He's already been basically confirmed to redshirt this year.

The same Walker Howard, QB Phenom from STM who got redshirted for this year? No, nobody is overlooking him. We’re excited as hell about the future with him. We’re all just hoping and praying it doesn’t come down to LSU having to burn his RS.

Who’s overlooking him? Most of us think he’s already the best and has the potential to be #2 all time.
Personally I think he should start against Southern, New Mexico, and UAB.

I’m excited that he’s on the team.
If he ever wins the starting job, I’ll be excited to see what he can do for LSU.
If someone beats him out, I’ll be excited to see what that person can do. Simple as that.

Nuss is not a lock to start contrary to the belief of some on this board
If Jayden truly looks better, then we should be happy if he beats out Nuss because if he does, that must mean he's legitimately talented
It's also strange to me how some people completely ignore the recent reports that Jayden leads from guys like Jacques Doucet
I'm not going to side with one player and die on a hill with one player because I'm more of an LSU fan than a player fan

Wouldn't be too sure of that. This is Kelly's team. Ed ain't here no more. Incumbents are going to have to win their job every year, as it should be. I think Howard has a higher ceiling that even Nuss. May not happen but would not be surprised...at all

Quite literally every single LSU fan with an IQ over 60 and knows who Walker Howard is, is excited for him.
