In 2020 Brennan started three games - losses to State (3-7) and Mizzou (5-5). Both had better conf records than A&M this year. You can draw your own conclusions.

In the first three games of a season against teams with no real training camp. MB was very good at hitting wide open receivers but wasn't good at anything else.

Do yourself a favor and go watch Brennan's last game in P&G. Maybe you can gain some credibility for your future posts.

I think the answer is much simpler. CBK and Denbrock want a mobile, run-capable qb and Myles is not that. He had the least chance of starting of all the qbs on the roster because of that. He just did not fit CBKs scheme; just look back at all of his QBs from his ND time. You won’t find a single one like Brennan.

I agree with this. CBK needed bodies and Brennan was available. He didn't fit what CBK wanted on offense and CBK continued to look. When Jayden was in the fold, it made Brennan expendable.

I don't think CBK is comfortable running the kind of offense we ran in '19.

Lol. Ridiculous

He was without questions our best option to win the most games this year. Howard ain’t ready and Nuss just isn’t any good.

Do y’all not see that this is the problem? I loathe the guy, but look what Saban did: tailored a running offense for Hurts, RPO for Tua, and pro style for Mac.

Went from a running back in 2016/2017 to a guy who probably runs a 5.1 in 2020 and set them both up for success.

Great coaches don’t find players for “their scheme”, they scheme for their players.

Wait, what?

This isn't high school where a coach can't recruit, so the good coaches have to use a scheme that fits their players.

Great college coaches have been recruiting players to fit their scheme since the beginning of football. That's what great coaches do; they recruit players that fit their scheme. Great coaches with a scheme that requires a dual-threat QB will recruit dual-threat QBs to fit their scheme.

Great coaches don't flip flop their offensive scheme every year to fit whatever players walk in the door.

Great coaches recruit players for their scheme. That's Recruiting 101.

Now, if a great college coach can't find the players to fit their scheme, then they tweak their scheme to fit the players they have.

you must’ve missed Nuss playing like dog shite against southern on multiple drives.

Yea, because 2 drives in a meaningless game defines the potential of a redshirt freshman QB.

Having Myles at his best for this year would have been great. Having Myles as a shell of his former self would have been a disaster.

The first and most important requisite for “pushing the ball down field” is seeing that that can be done. He cannot do it because JD5 just cannot see.

Or

Maybe Jayden was the better QB?

Why can't Myles supporters just accept that he just wasn't that good of a QB?

Our QB literally led us to a 9-3 season and a SEC Championship and our fans want the QB that quit on the team.

The unknown is always better than the known because the unknown hasn’t showed us their flaws yet.

Who knows why? But its clear there was no QB competition. Not one other player got a meaningful series this year, in a supposed too close to call race

My guess is Myles realized it, and was tired of being lied to

This is 100% the correct answer.
Because remember when Myles Brennan decided to come back JD wasn't on the roster then.
