I get it so getting an equal share in turn is being a slave to the gump machine. Ever so often when the cards fall right we make a run at the title.
Right. I mean look at our schedule last year. We played a ton of good teams, Alabama included. We beat all of them. We didn't just beat them, we stepped on them, with the exception of the Alabama game but we won, on the road.
Yet Bama's big wins were against Arkansas and Florida. That's it.
So because we were ranked #1, with a 1.000 computer ranking, beat those teams I mentioned a few posts back, we got to play a team we already beat, on the road, and whose big wins were against Arkansas and Florida.
Bama's schedule this year. Bama's schedule next year.
Look at LSU's schedule this season. Look at our's next season.
Nowhere near being fair.

Guess you missed LSU last season.

I for one look forward to facing UGA, FLORIDA, BAMA, ATM, Grinding Miss, New Ark Coach, and a recovering old miss next year along with our major OCC marque match up TCU.
Same hear. I loved the SCar game, the Ole Miss game...hell, the Hog game wasn't too bad. LSU/UK? No thanks.

If we would have beat Bama again no one would be complaining about playing them twice. The National Championship is supposed to be between the two best teams in the nation. Last year it was Bama and LSU. We played like shite and they beat us. If we show up and play the way we were suppose to and get the natty (WIN) everyone here isn't bitching. Bunch of butt hurt fans on this board.

Same, screw playing UK, Vandy, Mizzou, and Tenn. I love seeing the marquee match-ups.

First off, you're missing the big picture. Like I mentioned already in this thread, the time for you to win is during the season. That applies to all teams, at least it's supposed to.
We beat them, and everyone else. Reverse that win, keep the score the same, the location, the rest of our wins are the same as are there's.
You really think we'd get to play them again? Not a chance.
Anyway, this isn't about 1/9, it's about the equality of the schedules.

yeah, I think we would have actually because of when teams like Ok. State lost.

This is a real thread. A real thread that somebody started and at least one person agreed with. I'm flabbergasted

I see your point.
I will say college football is cyclical. Look at UT, Tenn, Michigan, Notre Dame(until this year of course), USC, Miami.. All use to be power houses. Tenn will be good again and Bama will get their due. I do I think permanent opponents are a load of crap FWIW. But on the OPs statement of wanting to leave the SEC that is just insane.

I agree with you on that.

Everybody here needs to just chill out. We need to just be realistic and accept that the Chik-Fil-A is our lot in life.
Some people are born kings and some people are born paupers. That's just life.

I think it would be easier to call attention to the problem and insist that the SEC office is staffed by people who represent all the member schools, it really is not a hard propblem to solve. It might just take a few years.
No way in hell should we leave for a lesser conference.
