You may not have understood. It’s okay. I’ll say it again.

Winning the SEC Regular Season title means nothing compared to getting the team right for the post season when we’ve most likely secured a Top 8 National Seed.

But by all means pout and throw a tantrum about the pitching decisions. 2021 Arkansas and 2022 Tennessee are still grasping at straws because they won the SEC Regular season and Tournament while two SEC schools went on to win what matters.

To be fair...the fans goal post moved during the middle if this series as a objective ( sweep always nice) but after the adversity and knowing what was at stake with a top #8 Nation seed, plus busting the 2 series losing skid...this was going g to have to be done on the road against a team fighting for its post season life. Objective was solidily completed within the first 2 games, demonstrating resolve and determination against adversity of both their own making and a serious problem with the umps strike zone. They used extensive substitute players, we saw slump breakers, non quitters, and to have another team give this team the opportunity to win #1 SEC seed vs. #3 SEC seed was nowhere apart of the mission going in.

As far as the decision with Little, I was not surprised. It was consistent with what our coaching staff had done previously. Until recently everything was negative Hurd..going into post season the coaches needed to be certain, having meet their objectives. 1 month ago Little Started game 2 against UK and had his best outing her at home 3 innings no hits, no errors, until he did...in the 4th. Then on its been like Hurd.

So yes I have co concerns like most reasonable fans should, batting has improved, starting pitching has improved, pen has improved..the trajectory must continue up of course... or else trouble..but to say stupid things like the coach isn't running test laps to see what his teams got is not fair. To move the goalpost is not fair. We won our last series on the road securing a top 8 seed vs. A team fighting to stay alive.

So what you’re saying is it’s more important to win the SEC Regular Season title than it is to experiment and hopefully get someone right for the post season?

It’s the literal last game of the regular season. Why are we experimenting? Playing down a SEC regular season title is the weirdest thing this board has done all day. Is it the most important thing? No. Do you want to see some fire from your baseball team to go and get it and the momentum/confidence it could’ve brought the team? I would hope so

“We didn’t care about a conference title, brah. We were just experimenting” is such a bad take

We’re experimenting because no one in the bullpen is stepping up consistently. We’re experimenting because the top 4 candidates for the two LF/1B/DH spots not occupied by Morgan are not playing well right now.

Almost sounds like this team has glaring problems that should cause slight concern. Too bad acknowledging that makes one a “pussy” or a “bitch”

Imagine if LSU lost the the SEC Championship in 2019 and people were like “who cares, we'll be in the playoffs anyway”

Imagine John Calipari experimenting with his starting 5 in the last regular season game with a SEC title on the line against a bottom feeder in the conference so he can see what he has to work with for the NCAA tournament

I really hope your dog makes it through the weekend. I’m pretty sure your TV is shot after reading your inane meltdown today.

We need to coordinate a simultaneous meltdown, drizz. Seems like everyone but is is doing it these days.

All baseball teams have concerns....if you win 2/3 of your games.....you are amazing! So you LOSE 1/3 games!

LSU is a really good team, yet we are beatable....like every other team in the country!

There are people who take it to an extreme on both ends of the spectrum and everyone else just gets caught in the crossfire. There aren’t many who don’t acknowledge that this team is imperfect. Where the disagreements generally lie is in whether the concerns are temporary and whether the strengths of the team are sufficient to overcome the weaknesses. Anyone who believes with certainty this team either will or will not make it to Omaha is not looking at this team objectively (in both directions) and doesn’t understand the inherent unpredictability of baseball.

I'm not immune to melting at times, it's happened for sure. The difference for me is I can talk myself off that cliff, regroup and regain perspective.

On the opposite side, some of these guys are on the starting line waiting to melt. And then dash to the melting finish line.

I just feel kind of defeated and I am not even on the field!!
I just cannot believe one arm in the bullpen has not clicked. The talent is there. It is not JJ (although ultimately everything he is accountable for the good and bad).
I have not ever heard this pitching coach in an interview and I do not see enough on tv to know what he is and is not doing. There has to be accountability there also.
The good news for everyone is that it really does not mean shot except it would have been nice to get that sec reg season.

But it is negative for people who obviously migrate over from Tiger Stadium who have no idea what they are talking about in regards to the sport, to shite all over this team who just won another SEC road series, locked up a bye in Hoover, and locked up a top 8 seed.

LSU is 5-5 in their last 10 games.
Arky is 6-4
UF 7-3
Tenn 6-4
Vandy 4-6

UF is the team to keep an eye on because of who and more importantly where they have played.

This isn't true.

How much recency bias do we have? Hurd looked lost and fought back to pitch 5 and a win. Javen coming back from TJ has looked good. Guidry, who wasn't expected to pitch, has done well overall. Floyd was walking batters left and right and went 7 IP yesterday.

We see the struggles and deficiencies, but to say no one has clicked is disingenuous. It's the consistency.

Johnson is Miles/Orgeron. Make sure you out-talent, because you won’t out-scheme.

Good post.

A baseball season is long. There are invariably ups and downs. For the team and individual players.

I would have liked to have won the SEC. Disappointed we didn't. But what's most important is playing our best ball when it matters most. That begins right after the SECt.

You need pitching in Omaha either way. We need to see the reality here. This is not a Championship team. Just isn’t.
