Is Trey'Dez Green still planning to join the basketball team?

...at some point and attempt to contribute? Wasn't sure if he has back off this possibility and if he might start to fit in a few practices with the team until Bowl Practices for the football team starts.
Any info, assuming there is any, is greatly appreciated.

Typically these "football" guys going late to basketball doesn't produce much in the way of results. However Green may be an outlier here. I can see him being a Corey Chest-type guy that comes in, brings high energy and bangs the boards hard. From what I've seen, he's got a better offensive skillset than our other "bigs". Of course, that's at the high school level. I could see him being a 6-8 pt 4-5 reb. guy later in conference play. With the current roster, that would be a strong addition.
Hopefully Reed is only down a game or two. If it's longer than that, getting Green in and getting him some minutes would really be helpful.
On another big...It was good to see Rob Miller show some life last night. I think this kid can be good but he's a little timid and doesn't seem to have a strength he can go to when needed. He's got a technically sound 3-ball. He could be a nice stretch-4 for us in the future.
Also...watching Collins/Chest makes me the kinda happy I last felt when Darius and Emmitt would go all HAM together!

It rarely happens anymore in college. My recollection on this is that they usually lag initially but start to come around late, usually near postseason time. For LSU, that would be almost perfect if Green begin to peak/level out right about SEC Tournament time.
The guy I remember doing it on a very high level was Charlie Ward. Heisman Trophy winner who opted to go pro in Basketball. 1st round NBA draft pick, though late first. Play 11 years in the NBA.

Seems like he would swap to basketball now. I know he's getting practice reps, but he's playing in a meaningless game.

Freshmen need all the practices they can get and bowl preps are great for development.

Maybe Green can give us a little more than what Peppers gave UNC
