I think the SEC is looking for some definitive answer to what sort of power they hold as a governing body. They somehow feel like they reign more influence than the ncaa over member institutions.
I suspect the SEC is going to find out it doesn’t have near the authority it thinks it does.

The SEC is demanding a school violate Antitrust court rulings and there is little that they can do to enforce what they have started.
In the long run, if the SEC continues, Congress will be forced to step in and overtake college sports with laws as they did the NFL and their antitrust problems.

When this settled out in about 3 years:
NCAA will be dissolved due to losing a massive judgement for restraint of trade on the 2022 players.
SEC likely to disband due to losing all their suits against lsu , net paying judgements and the obvious collusion by conference administrations.
Kiffin will be wrapping up a second NC
Conferences are gone and it’s a league of 60-80 of the better programs.

Lsu 100 percent needs to fire from this angle. The SEC is a good old boy club of southern racists trying to bring financial harm to an African American AD and tons of young African American athletes. LSU and Vandy are the only schools with African American AD.

Nah, they want him knocked down a bit. However there is a rumor floating about that Lane's little exploratory jaunt into NFL training camps pissed off The Shield and it wants to teach him a lesson about which pond he can play in.
