not knighting for him but was anything ever proved? or was it just allegations?
There were multiple allegations & investigations. Everything was kept behind closed doors. The parts that became public were only disclosed because of/during the Sharon Lewis lawsuit.
It’s not something that will ever be “proved” in the sense of making it undeniable. He settled at least one matter privately. It also came out that LSU had to tell him not to be alone with female students. There is plenty of smoke. Whether you choose to believe it or dismiss it is a matter of opinion.
That being said, I 100% believe the allegations. I knew a girl who worked on campus, who said at the time (2011ish) that Miles was constantly sending her inappropriate messages, trying to get her to come to his hotel room alone, etc.
AFAIK she never made any formal complaints and just avoided getting into an inappropriate situation. But given the fact that multiple other students have made similar (and worse) allegations - yeah, I think there’s a lot of truth.

Orgeron
I don't want him as head coach but. I am not mad at him. Executed the binder then chased women - good for him

Cholly Mac, Bill Arnsparger, Nick Saban.

I like Les. I don't actually mind Orgeron. It was just time to move on both times. Les once upon a time was actually a good coach, O was a recruiter that caught lightning in a bottle.

Edgar Wingard. Haven't ever heard a disparaging word about him.
10-0 in 1908, 17-3 overall record. To outscore your opponent's 442-11 is just insane.
Led LSU Basketball to a sterling 5-2 record in 08-09.
His 16-22 record in Baseball probably sealed his fate and sent him packing to the Maine Black Bears.

Liked All but Hall... loved hardheaded Miles especially standing up to that prick from Duke, Saban was badass, loved O unless he stabbed Miles in the back? Hope not true but Miles needs record put back!

Everyone likes Dinardo, and I don't think Saban is particularly hated.
Hallman is likely the most hated though.

Saban.. don’t think I’ve seen anyone shite on him during his time here.

Yeah, I like Will Wade as a person and a coach. Miles I liked as a person, although he had the wool pulled over my eyes, but hated him as a gameday coach. Archer I liked when he was winning and never understood what actually happened to make so many despise him. Dinardo was another who I liked as a person but not so much as a coach.

I don’t think anyone hates DiNardo, and as other posters have mentioned everyone loves Stovall.

Charles McClendon and Bill Arnsparger. Both good coaches and good people

Cholly Mac was great and loved him during and after his tenure at LSU. Dinardo was also an easy person to like.

that Dietzel essentially did what Saban did
At least Army wasn't a division opponent that we played every year. And Dietzel served in the Army in WW2 and started his coaching career as an assistant under Blaik at Army when they were a powerhouse. So there was at least some personal reasons why Dietzel left to go try to turn Army back around after they had fallen off after his mentor retired. Those are some crucial details in explaining why the two are received differently.

The weird hate for Mainieri on here will always be hilarious to me.

Love Skip. Like O but he had to go. Like Paul but he had to go. Les had to go but don't like or hate. Don't like Dale. Bout it.
