I mean, personality wise, program wise, recruiting wise, and everything else.
He has no f@cks to give, and Laissez Le Bons Temps Roulez...

Lane has been a perfect match for LSU for about 3-4 years now. He's really grown into himself and the way he embraces his reputation just to frick with everyone is very south Louisiana.

Its a good fit if he wins

If Lane has success here which I think he will and LSU continues to commit the resources which I think they do then this appears to be his last stop despite what the media wants you to believe. He's not a mercenary, he wants to be and perform exceptionally at the highest level of College Football. It's very early but he seems like he has in mind a want to challenge for GOAT status.

LSU should have hired him in 2021 when Ed got fired. But fat boy Scott Woodward was too arrogant and hired Kelly.

He is only a good fit if he wins. And if he wins, he would be a good fit just about anywhere with a serious program

He's a clown like the rest of us at clown College

It’s LSU or Miami for him. Nobody else.

He’s an a-hole, but dammit he’s our a-hole!
Love it!

This goes for any coach
Win a lot = great fit
Lose a lot = not a good fit
“Fit” is such an overrated, meaningless trait.

My question isn't if he is the best coach for LSU, but is there another school that fits him better.

Saban was 2 years older than Lane is now, when he won his first title, if I'm not mistaken, and many consider him to be the GOAT.

I almost mentioned Miami in my OP. That was the only other school I could think of.

quote:Lane was my pick at that time. Unfortunately, that administration would never hire a republican much less loose cannon for a coach. It actually worked out for the best, because they got sent down the bayou lol. This turn over was the best decision ever made for LSU. Not to bring politics into it but I am glad Landry got involved or Woodward would still be here. Geaux Tigers and GEAUX TAH HELL OLE MISS!
