The military staged over 1,000 stadium flyovers last year. Depending on how many fighter jets are involved, the cost per trip to taxpayers is from $150,000 to $450,000 - so that's somewhere roughly around a a quarter/third of a BILLION dollars

Pilots have to get their hours anyway so that money is already spent, probably some reserve pilots getting their hours on drill weekend.

This one is nuts.

Yeah, I've never been at a game where the flyover was as low as 2005 Bama.

Is this true or not. It's the only decent reason for having a day game.

My son was looking forward to that way more than the game. shite I may stay home now.

It looks like it’s on despite what is being said about cancellation. All times of interest articles are reporting it’s happening for 10:50 am.

Because someone will take the flyover money and just transfer it to local schools.

think about this statement you just said. There is something not logical about fighter jets taking off and flying over a stadium for say an hour and costing 150k+.....

Do you get what im saying?

Jets haven't been practicing in NOLA, but the weather has been shitty the last two days.

Yes they have.. yesterday 4 F-18s were flying and I just watched two F-15s take off

I know the weather’s better today, but they were definitely flying all week

No shite a river rattler told me earlier this week they were buzzing the valley

Yep. that 2005 Bama game flyover tops the list for me. I was sitting pretty high up.

I've seen the Blue Angels in Pensacoula, a few Harrier types doing a demo up close, and sat in a boat on a lake up in Seattle during the Navy week airshows, and the Bama game was the coolest up close pass I've ever seen.

My buddy down in Belle Chase just told be they've been buzzing the skys all week. If Mr. Hangover saw them again today, then I'd be willing to bet it's still on for tomorrow.
