Is Ole Miss (Magnolia Bowl) considered LSU's biggest rivalry again?

I know historically they were, but Alabama kind of took over doing the Saban era.

Are true rivalries going away or a thing of the past for this new age?

It will be the biggest rivalry game this year, and then it will probably sink back to being an automatic win as it has for most of the last sixty years.

Baw it's unfortunately been a thing since I was a student there. I remember we had to vote on the name of the bowl or the trophy or something like that. I remember not really being a fan of either of the options.

Just for this year and then it will go back to business as usual but honestly you can say its always been our biggest rivalry. Arkansas and Texas 8&4 seemed forced even though the 8&4 game has been a decent rivalry over the past 5 years or so. Bama I think will start to mean much less now that Saban is gone and they are human again.

There is nothing wrong with it being named the Magnolia Bowl. It’s pretty cool.

Like that stupid boot with Arky. Such a contrived “rivalry”. And the players hate that thing, it weighs a ton.

It's born out of people trying to copy shite from the Big Ten and all their little trophies and knickknacks.

We have hate. We don't need a trophy or a special name for it.

MS State has always been Ole Miss’ biggest rivalry.

Yes, Alabama is not our rival. We are maybe #3 for Bama.

IMO these are LSU's rival
Ole Piss
Florida (sucks we won't play them every year anymore!)
Bama
Arkansas
aTm (they are climbing up the ladder)

Yea, our biggest rival has never been to an SEC Champ game, not won a SEC title since 1963, we have beaten 2/3rd of the time and has been relevant 1 year out of the last 56 zero legit NC’s, has a 65,000 seat stadium…not our biggest rival.

No. This isn't the 60's. This isn't a rivalry. LK is making this more than what it is. We have always seen Ole Miss similar to Arky the annoying younger brother who wants to be relevant but isn't outside of a few times in there history. Last year was their best season since the '60's.

I think this is correct for older tiger fans. I remember starting the year with Rice, Baylor and A&M and leaving the stadium with Go to hell Ole Miss.

Hell no. I think of Ole Miss like Arky. I don't want to lose to them because its embarrassing.

I hate UF the most. Then Bama then TAMU.

Yeah, as long as they hate Lane, and LSU is good, they will consider us their greatest rival. Same way did for Bama once Nick went there, but to a lesser degree now that he’s gone.

It is a much bigger rivalry to OM than to LSU. Same with Arky.
