According to CBS sports he is. LINK

Article basically says because of a sub par performace last season, even with COVID, the Title IX allegations, O's unwillingness to testify in person, and being named a defendant in the case, that a poor start could lead to O being shite canned.

I'm a little on the fence here personally. I do know if this year's team doesn't perform at a level we all expect them to, then he may very well be on the hottest seat he's had since Ole Miss.

At this very moment I would say no, but if that seat does get hot, it’s going to do it quickly. Maybe it’s warming up

I agree that it could go from cool to flaming in a week's time. It's just the nature of the expectations for the program.

If he loses 4 or more games, yes.

Two years ago the best season by any school ever and then a pandemic season. If he is on the hot seat, the powers that be are idiots

Right. He will be on the hot seat if that happens, but isn't currently.

If we bounce back this season he isn’t but he can’t afford to have a shite the bed type game like last year especially on defense. 10 wins or more and he is fine. Anything less and some will not be happy.

The off the field stuff is nothing unless new allegations come forward. The media keeps reporting things that were made public previously for some reason which makes the outsiders perceive them as more allegations when it’s not. If this team rally’s behind him this year and doesn’t make it about BLM or some other movement then they can have a great season.

From what im hearing, its not so much his production that has current administrators on his arse, its the other B.S going on in the program. Before anybody jumps my arse , i really like coach O

Exactly! IF is a huge word. IF can go many ways! He is currently killing it in recruiting. We’ll have to see how it plays out but that goes for most coaches not named Saban and Dabo.

It's he said she said for the case he's named a defendant in. Hard evidence would put him in the hot seat, and clearly there's none of that at this time.

I doubt LSU is actively looking to fire him, but I also doubt they would be hesitant to do so if he has another year similar to last. Basically, he burnt through all the goodwill earned from 2019 last season. He won't get another mulligan if he struggles this year.

That may or may not be fair. But that is the reality.

Right now? No.

We have a ton of talent returning for the 2021 season, new coaches, a strong freshman recruiting class - I think the administration, fanbase ... everyone is excited and optimistic. He's in good shape right now.

Having said that, let him come out with us looking like a Les Miles football team and fool around and lose to UCLA and lose one of either Miss St or Auburn... and YES, his seat will be scalding hot... and FAST.
