guess Les really numbed us to insane outcomes.

We had a lot on our minds that year.

It's shows how much college football has changed. That TD to Doycet would NEVER stand in todays version of a completed catch, lol. Miss those days

and our guys were dropping them IIRC.

not talked about much, but D Bowe missed this game when he was clearly our WR1.

Going strictly off memory, wasn't it something like the first 4th down of the year, and we were back on our own 20, something like that?

So in today's world with review, would Doucet's game winning TD catch be overturned?

It wouldn’t have even been a catch in 2005. Ref somehow missed it. Felt bad about Katrina maybe. Funny thing is 2005 was the first season with instant replay so it could have been reviewed. Luckily they didn’t have the replay system down yet.

I think under today’s rules Early’s game wining catch in the end zone would have been called incomplete. He didn’t survive the ground.

The end result was awesome but most of the game was actually pretty miserable to watch especially on the defensive side of the ball and having to watch that jackass Sam Keller carve our secondary up like a Halloween pumpkin all game .

listened to this game on the radio.

Yep. What a game and what a lot of people needed at that moment in time.

God damn that team was absolutely stacked.

It’s just very typical for a Les Miles team to be outclassed in every possible way yet still win in the most unimaginable fashion.

I was there. Crazy game. Their rugby style punter held that ball forever and no one blocked. The winning TD was the greatest single play I ever saw in person.

Auburn 2017 is a sleeper game, came back from being down 23-7 in the mid Q2

I forgot how it even crossed my mind to rewatch, but holy hell what a fricking game. I was young baw and remember going insane but a blocked punt AND kick for a TD AND a last minute game winning 4th fown throw? Holy shite

I remember watching it at a bar. Problem is I can’t remember if I was in Phoenix or Charlotte

Les Miles’ first game, Les wearing the Brittany Spears headset, 250 degrees Kelvin, Russell to Doucet’s insane play.

Was at the game and the most insane thing we saw was getting off the party bus we rented an hour before kickoff, looking into a parking garage and seeing two insanely hot ASU “co-eds” and a small film crew doing a public exhibition porn scene. They hauled arse at the site of us cheering them on. We looked at each a half hour later and asked esch if that really just happened.

I cut me some onions when the Tigers came out onto the field with the Louisiana flag and the entire crowd, ASU fans included, stood and cheered.

I've lived in the Phoenix area since 2004 and was at this game. What a crazy night. The walk back to my truck in the parking lot was fun!

I'll always pull for ASU after how they and their fans treated LSU fans with such grace after the Katrina tragedy.

I believe that was the first year of Instant Replay? I saw the replay , realized that the play was not getting reviewed, and though “I guess he feels sorry for us”
