Just looking at Kiper’s Big board. He’s not in the top seven QBs. I’d assume there is more money in college.

We’ve had a lot of success with fifth year transfer QBs. I’d be excited to see what he could do in year two of the system.

He could make a huge leap with another year of college football. It's been proven that QB's with more games/snaps in college pan out better in the NFL.

I think he either stays or transfers. I don't think he will get drafted high enough based on his numbers this year.

Insiders on premium boards have said the plan is to be here for another season

Only reason that would change is if the dude goes on a massive heater second half of the season and shoots up draft boards which is always possible

Leavitt would do great here if he came back another year, and a couple mistakes aside I felt like he made some pretty good progression in the system during the Kentucky game

The SEC will pass a rule, effective immediately, that all QBs that transferred from Arizona St are no longer eligible to compete in the SEC.

He missed the spring and would be in year two under Kiffin. It would be crazy for him not to come back unless he absolutely blows up the remainder of the year and his draft stock skyrockets.

LSU can upgrade in the portal.

Sam is too turnover prone to be a championship QB in Lane’s system.

He's had 3 turnover worthy plays all season that go on him, this is not my opinion, but PFF's own metric. You cant blame him for tipped pass INTs and drops turning into INTs. He's had incredibly bad luck in that respect.

He is actually one of the least turnover worthy QBs in the SEC this season in that metric. This is a false narrative being built by folks who stat watch box scores.

Going back to his 13 game 1st season at ASU he had just 5 turnover worthy plays. He is not a turnover prone QB. The only time he struggled with i was last year at ASU when half the games he played in he was hurt pretty badly.

With this qb class that’s coming out this year, I think both Arch and Leavitt come back for their senior season if things continue as they have been.

Leavitt could go pro and maybe get on a roster but he needs to get that interception albatross from around his neck. He needs a good 5th yr with better accuracy and judgement.

Not saying there won't be better quarterbacks available, but there won't be any fifth year seniors who've already had some success who are going into year two of kiffin's system.

My guess is that he stays, whoever loses the backup job transfers out, and that there will be a quarterback battle between next year's backup and Peyton Houston in '28

That makes absolutely zero sense unless Sankey is…wait, you might be onto something
