If you played baseball, you know misjudging a fly ball can happen to anyone.

Have loved him as our play by play guy forever. Many memorable calls. But at some point, some of the higher ups have got to realize how bad it is and step in. It's hard to tell a legend he doesn't have it anymore, but it's necessary. He is borderline embarrassing himself on air.

I don't mind it at all. Him being unable to see as well as he used to is just part of listening to the game.

I think the young people who didn't have the benefit of hearing all of the great Hawthorne calls are the ones who are so bent out of shape about it.

it shouldn't be, the calls should be somewhat accurate

Or maybe the people that want an accurate call by a competent, professional broadcaster. I use professional to describe a manner of behaving, not having to do with whether or not someone is paid.

Well unfortunatly for you and all the other crybabies in this thread, whining on a message board is the biggest impact youll have on how long JH stays the Voice of the Tigers.

Jim is the worst walking commercial ever for wherever he got his lasik eye surgery.

Jim pulled the it's too dark crap multiple times last night. I went out in the 7th and by that time he had all but given up on hits to the wall. The ball was hit and he immediately went into an it's too dark rant and then waited for the runner to stop before he said what happened.

Crybabies? I think you mean consumers. It's a shitty product, we're voicing our displeasure.

I'm sorry nostalgia doesn't impact what I want to hear on a radio broadcast.

apparently it was way worse than i realized. while the announcers on tv were awful at least I could see the game. i really dont need commentary from the announcers. but if i was reliant on jim alone i would have been frustrated beyond hell.

LSU burying someone isn't exciting to you?

Personally, I enjoy it when LSU wins.
