Which one? He did that twice.

He also called Ibarra by Ty Ross' name for an entire at bat. But that's more excusable since they're so similar physically.

Any ball hit to the outfield wall last night was not seen by Hawthorne. He would literally have to see the baserunner stop at 2nd base before he knew that the ball didn't leave the field.

Also, I saw Bregman's homerun on the news last night, and it was not at all what I expected. I thought he was a high bomb into the top of the pine trees. In reality, it was a line drive that barely cleared the wall and hit the trunk of a pine tree.

It's so dark over there, literally no light, uhm, no light at all in that part of the field. yea, yea, we got it, you're blind as shite!

I didn't see the highlights. But I was thinking towering shot as well. It's time to get a new PBP man. He's getting worse every year.

Basketball games are rough because not only does he get things wrong, he steps all over the other people on the broadcast and is sometimes outright antagonistic to them.

Have loved him as our play by play guy forever. Many memorable calls. But at some point, some of the higher ups have got to realize how bad it is and step in. It's hard to tell a legend he doesn't have it anymore, but it's necessary. He is borderline embarrassing himself on air.

Yeah, they were both similar instances. Doubles at the base of the wall that he initially called home runs.

Based on his initial calls last night, Glenn gave up like 4 runs. Somehow he managed to leave the game unscaithed.

i was watching on the worst stream known to the internet and i could see it clearly not go out. i could understand if it hit against an ad that was white. but it was green. cant get an easier contrast.

Disregard my comment, I thought you were referring to the Bregman homer

Tv announcers were terrible. Tyler Moore had 3 hits before they reallzed he was in the game. Down 11-0 the cajuns got a 2 run single and this guy says "now you see what could have been." Good times.

Hawthorne is perfection compared to the idiot announcing on the Lafayette network. He thought Edward was still batting all game until he was lifted for Moore in the 9th inning.

the best part was in the 8th inning they were like "we've got another pinch hitter. This is Tyler Moore hitting for Alex Edward".

3 at bats too late.
