Is it fair to ask season ticket holders whether they will opt out or not....

before all the facts are known? I have 4 season tickets in the lower bowl of the south end zone. I also have a 14 hour round trip to Baton Rouge. There are too many unanswered questions that will affect my decision whether to opt out or not.

What will be the home games?

Are the already paid ticket costs for 4 conference games and 3 non-conference games be considered equivalent to 5 conference games? Or will an adjustment be made?

Will I have tickets to ALL the games or will I only be granted tickets to SOME of the games? This may be done to accommodate as many season ticket holders as possible. If so, then which games? I may not think a 14 hour round trip is worth it to be only granted tickets to Kentucky and Missouri.

Will I be moved from the lower bowl of the south end zone to the uppper deck?

Will my 4 season tickets be reduced to 2 tickets?

Will my seat donations and ticket costs be refunded on a prorated basis if I am only granted a partial allotment of tickets and games? Will my seat donation be partially refunded if I am moved to an area that has a lesser seat donation?

Will tailgating be allowed? Tailgating is part of the incentive to make the 14 hour round trip. I know that there is a very slim chance tailgating will be allowed but it would still be nice to hear a definitive answer.

Of course, many of these questions can’t really be answered until it is known how many season ticket holders are opting out. It’s a chicken or the egg scenario. The ticket office is in an impossible situation. But I have a feeling we will be asked if we are opting in or out before all the facts are known.

Yeah
I mean if I opt in
And only get two games
Will I get a refund
Or will they take all my money and then I have to pay again next season
If no refund that will make my decision easier

I agree with you. Lots of unanswered questions and I'm afraid we will need to make a decision before we have all of the info.

I’m totally agreeing with everything you’ve said. I’ll add the question of what Happens if we opt in and season is cancelled after two games?? Refund for the remaining games???

I’m opting out. Then I will buy individual tickets on the open market if I choose to go, once the situation is more clear.

I'm in the lower bowl of the NEZ. If I'm not in my exact seats, I'm probably going to roll over to next year.

Okay, jackass. It’s not about everyone being happy. It’s about LSU providing more information so everyone can make informed decisions.

I’m in the same boat as you... 10 hour drive each way.

Between rental houses, tickets, food, booze, tailgating, and transportation costs we tie up a bunch of money to go to these games.

If I was 2 hours away, I could justify opting in. If I were in BR, I’d absolutely opt in because I wouldn’t have lodging costs and wouldn’t have to travel.

Plus, our fall is already booked out. If they move the dates of the home games around, I’m screwed there too.

IMO the distance adds extra risk to the equation that I’m not willing to take given the limited information.

I totally agree. Your questions, along with the certainty that we will be required to wear masks, along with who knows what else, makes me want to opt out this year. I'm thinking I will just roll the money over to next year.

And you can still go to games. I predict there will be plenty of tickets in the market will be soft.

I predict a low amount of tickets and a high price.

I’m opting out and picking and choosing from here on out. I see this as a no brainer for many longtime season ticket holders

I would think prices will be high, supply and demand type thing, say what you want now but when Football gets here and tickets are limited then prices will be high and everyone who has been going to games for years will want tickets especially when Bama rolls into town.

I would imagine LSU needs to know how many season ticket holders are willing to give up their allotment of tickets for the season before announcing plans that would address the many unanswered questions.

Kind of a chicken and the egg scenario.

I’ve got an 8 hour round trip. I’m rolling over till next year due to the sheer uncertainty and asninity of this whole claptrap Rube Goldberg approach to the disease and the games.
They are all on tv.
One hiccup and everything changes.
No Texas game.
Too much exposure.
Plus last year was perfect, I went to 11 games. And nothing is ever going to be that good again.
I’m punting and fukit.

I have NFL tickets and opted out. They said stadiums would not be full. They would surgery season tickets holders on what games they want to go to but that they would not get all of them most likely. My feeling then was I already paid, I am not guaranteed games. So just cut ties on this year cause if the season gets cancelled I’m just hit with a new scenario. Hope for 2021 season.
