I’m much less worried about Kiffin and offense than I am about replacing Baker.

Given that kiffin wouldn’t take their calls I have a hard time believing Charlie would jump for them. Hes young and has plenty of time.

He clearly trusts Lanes judgement on football related matters and I think lane saw the writing on the wall with the NIL stuff

While I don’t think baker happens either that is far more likely.

I know, I thought we would keep him a full single year at least.

Yep. I saw him shopping for a boat and a house in Tallahassee today. He should be there by tomorrow night at the latest.

Both coordinators will always be mentioned for jobs. Jimbo has been lobbying for it

It will be Manny Diaz.

Offensive coordinator will be Les Miles
Defensive Coordinator: Ed Orgeron.

Weis should be careful. The fact is that FSU isn’t really a good job.

Frankly I’d say OU is the far bigger threat on the Weis side.
Though I don’t think he has a long enough history at this point for them.

I don’t see any other SEC job coming open except for maybe MSU. Which if I’m Charlie I’d bide my time at lsu rather than jump at MSU.

Weis fits the hiring profile for OU outside of the longevity thing. Going back to stoops they have hired only coordinators and my guess is after the failure of venables they are going to be hesitant for a defensive guy.

Fun fact. Ole Piss’s offense was ranked 3rd and 4th in the SEC in the years under Kiffin without Weis Jr.
In 2017 FAU was ranked 8th in the nation in total offense under Kiffin without Weis Jr. I don’t want to lose Weis Jr. but all I’m saying is if we do we’ll be alright on offense as long as Kiffin is here.

Fsu is in a bad financial place, especially in football. They are bottom to middle tier in nil. Baker & Weis can do better

Saban replaced a coordinator practically every year. It comes with success.
Of course while at michigan state he had 31 different assistants in his 5 years there (10 on staff plus hC) so he went through assistants like bottled water

I just don’t see FSU paying that buyout to then go out and hire a coordinator.

I’m sure they want more of a sure thing after their issues post Jimbo but if I’m a FSU fan with the reported financial issues (though the buyout speaks otherwise) I’m much more excited about trying to find the next Freeman, lanning, Kirby or Day than the more likely hire of the mid major hotshot coming off norvell.

It they can get the wake coach? Go get him. But they ain’t pulling a kiffin or Kelly type hire and even those don’t always work out.

If they want to roll the dice on a 33y/o who has never been a HC, good luck to em.
