The guy is paying his dues and growing into the position imo.

I would think he would have to go be a HC at a small school for a few years and with success we give him a call.

Head Coach will have to have SEC experience, NFL assistant experience, and head coaching experience at a major school.

The days of LSU going the assistant route are over. If Fisher or Muschamp did not get it, that is the route LSU will pursue going forward.

only one of these 3 have happened for our last 2 coaches

I think the "coached in the SEC' thing is a little overblown. Most of your successful SEC coaches had not coached in the SEC before, and still managed to win championships. Saban at LSU, Miles and Meyer come to mind.

How exactly? He's being paid very well for his work as a position coach and recruiter. How exactly is that "paying his dues?"

Growing into the position of HC? WTF are you talking about? Please explain how he is "growing into the position" of head coach. That makes absolutely no sense.

Not unless he takes a HC job at a decent mid-major school & has some success before Les retires.

I think I it has to be cas by case. I mean Vince Lombardi was an assistant at one point. would you turn him down for lack of experience? Obviously it's more of an unknown when you hire a coordinator but for the right guy any AD should be willing to do it.

If it were apparent then you wouldn't have to ask.

Given he is the King of France, I thought it was obvious he was asking if we should refer to Frank Wilson as the Dauphin.

Unfortunately "Heir Apparent" is a term that has meaning separate and apart (although related to them) from its constituent parts.
