Based on what????

Did you see Marshall play in college??? AND LF7 would be crazy not to want to have the NFL career Marshall did.....

Yeah. He never had a season like LF did last year and didn't play at near the level of competition that LF did in college.

Right. But we are not talking about NFL. We are talking about college careers.

I agree. He's not THE most, but one of the most over rated nationally. He was great at LSU, it's still 1 and 1a between him and Faulk as the LSU greatest. But nationally, i think he's a bit over rated.

I'm not sure how one could say that a 240 lbs speedster with power and moves is anything other than as advertised.

I'm not shitting on him. I just don't think any one single year stood out well enough on a national level.

He won the rushing title in 2015. It took Henry an extra game and how many more carries to top his rushing total?

Well if LF is not playing in the bowl game due to injury, that's one thing. If he's not playing in the bowl game because he decided to cash in, and play in the NFL and just leave the LSU team thats another. Since he hurt his ankle again, it seemed until recently that it was because of injury. with the stuff coming out about the awards banquet and announcing the agency signing before the bowl game, i am not so sure it was 100% about the ankle.

Didn't he have something like the 2nd most yards from scrimmage in the history of the SEC, known as the best defensive conference in the nation?

If that doesn't stick out on a national level, what would?

He's about to get the only award that matters...1st round money. He's already better off as it is. He's signed with an agent, he's no longer bound by NCAA restrictions and can openly get advances from his agent, can work on endorsements and all of that stuff.

He's already getting way better awards than some trophy.

And sure...he could have waited a couple of weeks, traveled with the team and all of that jazz.

Or, he can sign now, leave behind a program that literally cannot do anything for him now (except maybe put him into positions that could jeopardize everything), get an advance from his agent and give his baby girl a Christmas that she'll never forget (until he tops it next year).

So what LSU player had a better career with no national awards?

I could be mistaken, but while Tommy Casanova is the only LSU player to be a 3-time All-American, I don't think he won any of the prominent national awards...but then again, there weren't as many awards back then either...

His soph season was an all-timer. Not just statistically....he was a human highlight reel for much of the year.

Darius Guice is being considered a better player. Look at the scouting reports. Nothing against LF7, he's an unreal talent, but scouts are loving Guice next year. He is being mocked in the top five already
