Without knowing their schedule, and knowing the typical schedule they do play, I can't see this team being a bowl team. That may sneak in at 6-6/7-5 if they progress a bunch.

Don't forget how poorly they looked vs. Portland State last week.

You realize that is the same QB that threw for 3400 yards and 27 TDs with 10 picks as a freshman. He lost the job last year because Hill was so dynamic. We just smothered them defensively.

There's been some regression in his game since then. I don't follow them closely enough, has it been change in coaching staff or something? The little he played last year he didn't look anything like he did as a freshman.

Portland St had a one score game going with BYU through the middle of the 3rd qtr.

That's FCS Portland St that had a 3-9 record last year.

I predict Portland State will have a winning record this season once they play teams of their own ability. They have quite a few transfers to their team from Power 5 and Group of 5 teams on their defensive side. BYU will have 8 wins minimum. I don't see them beating Moo State on the road. They may lose their next two to Utah and Wisconsin, but by winning out, that would put them at 9 wins. A win against Utah or Wisconsin gets them to a potential 10 win season. Their defensive front is pretty solid. Their linebackers and safeties wrap up well concerning tackling. Offensivey, if they can run, they will win. Relying on the QB and WRs to create plays is asking for too much. Let's see where they are in two weeks. Hell, after playing us, Utah may look as slow as molasses on on a cold day. lets see how the next two Saturdays play out.

I don't care how many games they win, the team I have seen play two games is bad.

I mean you only need 6 wins to be a bowl team

Time will tell. LSU had no problem with any aspect of the BYU game. From what I saw either BYU is horrible (lack physical capability) or LSU offensive line is far better than anyone figured they would be. I doubt it is the latter. Time will tell.

BYU's season will be on track to a bowl IF they beat Utah next Saturday. Utah has really had BYU's number in recent years so I don't expect BYU to win that game.

Looking at their schedule, yes, but they looked like one of the worst teams LSU has played in the last twenty years. Some of that is on our defense making them look that bad, but some of that is just them being really, really bad.

There are 8 games on our schedule where we will do to the other team what you did to us.

There are four more games where we better find some heart and fight for to have a chance.

So we'll have 8 wins, go to some crappy pre-Christmas bowl, and then rinse and repeat next year.

I'm hoping LSU made them look bad and they aren't just plain bad.

I don't know, I was under the impression that they put up a really strong fight. Guice earned every single yard. The stopped us multiple times in the redzone. The tried every single angle on offense without turning over the football. The INT was a long punt and the 4th down fake punt was their last desperate attempt of actually trying to win the game.

Statistically speaking, it looks like we should have won the game 63-0.

I see them winning at least 8 games, I thought they were pretty well coached.

No. They are a weak team. The fact that they held LSU in the red zone to an FG, on any drive, is a disgrace.

Well about two-thirds of teams make it to a bowl, so merely making it to a bowl isn't a good indicator of a team's quality.
