Maybe you're on a different Tiger Rant than I am? Peace and love, brother.
There are 8 games on our schedule where we will do to the other team what you did to us.

There are four more games where we better find some heart and fight for to have a chance.

So we'll have 8 wins, go to some crappy pre-Christmas bowl, and then rinse and repeat next year.

Probably. Kid's long on attitude and short on brains.
Never seen an opponent do that to BYU. Here is where I wrong going into the game when I said:

"LSU isn't bigger and stronger."

BYU has almost always been able to match physicality no matter who they were playing. Last night was one of the hardly evers.

I will hate to my dying day that we responded to your 12 and 13 personnel groupings with only 5 or 6 guys in the box. It was dumbfounding that we didn't sell out and dare Etling to keep the ball in his hands.

That said, LSU fans have reason to be excited about their team. Their offense got a defense that never gave up for four quarters to break in a new scheme against. I will be proud of our D for not giving up and having some wins in the game.

BYU was crap. LSU was not. Respect your fans for getting the place filled as much as it was with three days notice. Don't care if one drunk kid flipped off our players. The overwhelming majority of LSU fans were a great bunch. I enjoyed the banter here on tigersroppings. Hope that our teams can schedule games in the future. I'd love to see a game in Baton Rouge and BYU has a venue/backdrop second to none.

Have a fun year, Tiger fans. I'm gonna go grab another Sprite to cry into before boarding my flight.

Can you please explain why you are still flying to Houston?

Sure.

I am scheduled to fly to India on Sunday. Planned the game trip to combine with this work trip. Cash in miles to get to Houston one-way, and then purchase my business trip with its origin city being Houston.

Have tried for the past week to change the origin city for my work trip to Indianapolis and drop the one-way miles cash in to Houston. They said they would do it, but only to the tune of over $4,300. Only if the flights are cancelled can I make a change without the fare penalty.

Been following IAH's twitter account and they opened up for limited flights Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 PM. All roads into and out of the airport are clear except one. Both itineraries are still set to run as originally scheduled.

This all could change at a moment's notice and I have to rebook things in a matter of minutes, but for now I will have about 24 hours in Houston minus a 4 hour sojourn in NRG Stadium. We'll see what happens.

As for coming back after the game, I'll make sure I have a spoonful of sugar...just in case.

Come back tomorrow night midway in the 3rd quarter and say this again.

Don't worry. That will definitely happen.
It's been fun, gents. All the unknowns disappear tomorrow, and I will be back win or lose. Having watched BYU in these types of games for close to 30 years, can I offer some pregame parting advice?

When LSU finds themselves in a big boy fight against a team that won't roll over like a directional Louisiana school, you will have the inclination to enter your nuclear launch codes.

Don't.

LSU isn't bigger. LSU isn't stronger. LSU is certainly faster, but even that gap is not as wide as the hype machine would proclaim. And that's before injuries and suspensions. BYU is a top third P5 level program. This isn't a Sun Belt team. This isn't a MAC team. This isn't a CUSA team. If Stanford and Cal didn't hate Mormons (or any religion, really), we'd be 25 year members of the Pac 12 already.

I'm not saying BYU will win, but I am saying that all of you predicting 42-3 type scores in LSU's favor are the exact collection of ignorant, swamp dwelling buffoons devoid of any sort of football knowledge that I had hoped you wouldn't be.

Take my advice and be ready to watch a fight for a full four quarters tomorrow night.

To everyone travelling by car or airboat or whatever, wish you nothing by safety. I'll be the one you can hear cheering for BYU all the way from Houston.

Ahh, that's cute. A picture montage from 2011 made with Windows Movie Maker. Pathetic screen wipes and everything!

Only two in the starting 11.

Am I correct in that Mormons believe...

Good night, I'm a guest here and even I am wondering why this tripe isn't in the O-T lounge. :banghead:

If you really want to know what the actual doctrine is and not some "Mormons be crazy" rumor, I'm happy to meet you in O-T and explain it all. Not to convince you that it's right, but to hopefully extend some understanding that can help you find an increase in respect shown to a group of pretty decent people.

Serious offer. Let me know.

If you know @FauxPelini on twitter, this is in the same vein. Boney Fuller was a player for BYU nearly 100 years ago. Now, he is the BYU twitter jokester goofing on each week's opponent. Nothing malicious...just some good fun before the matchup. Wait 'til you see the craziness that will come directly at the LSU players.

Definitely a good follow for the week.
When viewing a game, you just watch where the ball goes, don't you?
Thanks for this. I just contacted them through Twitter as well.

Awesome...a fellow football fan who can watch a game and actually see what's happening!

Yes, only two running plays were called all game. A receiver went in motion only twice the entire game: once for a 1st down, once for a touchdown.

Will the fact that BYU went vanilla help them in any way? No one knows. Just like no one knows if your offense will be sharp or shite.

y'all have nothin' to worry about.

Talk about crapping the bed and smearing it all over yourself.

What's the word on the Francis kid quitting. Your fan base seems freaked out because of it?

Sorry, busy weekend.

Sure, we wanted to see those three LBs play together again this year. Of the three Francis Bernard would be the weakest of the group.

#4 Fred Warner is the best player on the team regardless of position.

#38 Butch Pau'u is the soul of the defense and the tone setter.

#13 Francis Bernard would be spectacular one minute and befuddled the next. Losing him means we lose some of the highlight plays, but we also lose major gaffes like doubling the same gap and leaving another one wide open or missing a tackle within inches of the sideline where all you have to do is break down under control and use the sideline to your advantage.

It will be interesting to see the dynamic of a "bring your lunch pail" kid like Pulsipher and what he can do or whether the coaches will go with some of the young 4* talent they have waiting in the wings.

Bernard was a first time starter at LB last year after converting from RB. So it's not like kids can't be coached up by this staff to be ready to make plays.

All I know is: it's finally game week for BYU!

Preseason hype is finally introduced to regular season reality.
In the opinion of some here, I think you just need to find some one-legged, blind midget cheerleaders.
