Is Aranda Being Bradley Dale Peveto-ed? (Long Post)

Sorry if this has been posted, as we've had a tsunami of Aranda posts the past two days.
Anyway, I've thought this year that there could be some tension with Aranda being DC this year having an offense like this year's to deal with. What I mean is, here's a DC who has traditionally coached on teams that run more traditional offenses.
He's the highest-paid DC in college football, and has been routinely lauded as being a guru of a coach. Holding down the defensive side of the ball on a team that literally has a point a minute offense--due to an offensive philosophical sea-change like LSU underwent this offseason--can't be easy.
His D giving up substantial points in game early and mid-season drew negative attention to him and, for an ambitious guy, couldn't have been easy to deal with.
What if he's quietly let Ed know that this isn't what he signed up for, and asked for his permission and support to look for other opportunities, similar (in a face-saving sense) to what I understand happened with BDP, the NW St job, and Les? I mean, it'd look "good" for him to leave for a HC position, right? Most people outside the program wouldn't question that move.
Surely, unloading that $2.5 mil contract (that the current AD didn't sign off on),freeing up money for Joe Brady, and hiring a DC who is more comfortable being more of a "bend and don't break" defense is at play here, right? Aranda wants to be an NFL DC someday, something that giving up points and yards doesn't help him achieve.
How else does slumming for HC offers at places like New Mexico make sense, exactly?

This is the dumbest shite I've ever read.

So, you're basically saying that Aranda wants to give up his $2.5 million salary and uproot his family because you think his job is too hard?

I think you’re overthinking this.

Like that train wreck you can't help but watch.
This is so stupid, I couldn't stop reading.

I knew I'd get downvotes, but the point remains: why the interest in these mid-major programs? A quality DC for a top SEC job can do better than that, right?
This is not a "hate Aranda" thread; I'm trying to make sense of what's happening.
Surely we can agree that a guy hired by Les Miles is in a far different world now than the one he entered. Is it crazy to think he'd be interested in looking elsewhere if this isn't what he signed up for?

Are you comparing Dave Aranda to Dale Peveto, who was bottom 10 in every statistical category of the NCAA at his side of the ball? Lol

These programs are interested in him. It doesn't mean he will go. He is prolly just listening to their sales pitch that is all.

He lost three DB's this season and had no depth. He had no experienced depth at the LB spots. He lost his #1 and #2 DT's to leg injuries in the UT game. He lost his #1 LB before the Bama game. He played about 6 true freshmen and a few RSF in fill in roles to make it to the end of the season. Along the way he experimented with every defensive package he could think of - yeah a few did not do so well and some did great. Oh, and his DL coach blew out both ACL's in fall practice and had to replace him.
All in all I think he did a remarkable job this year. 13-0 didnt happen without him and his defense.

The BDP reference was to the rumor that he wasn't the best fit, and Les supported him in finding a face-saving landing spot (he moved on to be a HC) that avoided Les from having to fire him.
Again, not saying "fire Aranda" or anything like it, just is this a face-saving move for a DC who isn't fully on board with being on a staff with a high-scoring offense (and an inflated yards and point total that can come with it).

I never believed Aranda was going to coach anywhere else, it was always LSU. Aranda's about to sign 5-star defenses for the next decade, recruiting for LSU has never been easier and LSU's working environment is second to none! Geaux Tigers

What's the difference in scoring quickly and going 3 and out or only getting one first down?
