Clemson’s DT is the projected top 5 NFL pick. And their strongest and deepest position on the team is DT. So, I wouldn’t use Clemson game as a measuring stick.

If he gets pushed around in games 2 and 3, that’s when a red flag is raised.

I’m more worried that he only played against one drafted DT in 2024.

In that game against Clemson, VT had 40 yds rushing and 188 passing.

Ask the Bills how much they liked undersized DT Kyle Williams. Chester's problem was that he lacked balance. I think Moore will be fine.

Exactly. At that weight, it’s about strength.

Don't give the coaches a reason to move Chester back there, he was putrid.

As others have said, a smaller C is actually better.

I’m aware, but this post is about his size and weight. I’m not talking about him just getting beat, I’m talking about him getting physically manhandled. He’s going to go up against guys that are as strong Peter Woods this year as well.

It's weight to height and body build. Chester is listed at 6'6 315 on ESPN. 6'3 300 is not bad if he has a low center of gravity. Charles Turner was 6'4 303 and a decent center.

This is dead on. Chester really isn’t the ideal height for a Center. You want them to have that low center of gravity to help them get leverage coming out of the snap.

We had a really good tall dude at center approx 4-6 years back. I think he made it in the league as well, but can't remember his name.

IOW it depends on the guy. Tall, short, it all depends on balance and strength.
