The frick are we losing 5 games to? We beat Auburn and Wisconsin easily last year with O/Ensminger. Now we have Canada.

its the least excited I've been going into a season in a long time. I think its mainly due to years of Les disappointing.

it was sort of like running down the stairs on Christmas morning excited to open up your gifts, only to discover its a pair of socks....every damn year. Despite it all I was legitimately jacked up for last season, surely even Les knows what he has here and can't frick this up. One series in and I sat down in my seat at Lambeau and realized that son of a bitch fooled me again, its fricking socks.

with the incredibly average danny etling at the helm, I'm just going to go in with tempered expectations and hope to be pleasantly surprised.

You gonna get blasted , of course , but I sympathize with you. I'm normally amped up leading into the season and I'm not this year . It's entirely the Orgeron bull shite for me. Same. Don't get me wrong, i love watching LSU football and am ready for it to get here...but my excited me last year and especially this year are not up to par.

I've actually tried to keep a conservative outlook to the season. Modest expectations. Then I see more and more about what Canada can do with the offense. I see a healthy 5th year QB. I see a CEH that looks to add another dimension to the run game. Guice is gonna eat. I see so much quality in our defensive backfield that we move the #1 safety in the nation to the offensive side because he's got too much talent to just sit. Devin White will be even better than Beckwith in the middle. Coaches are raving about our new ILBs. I read from coaches AND players that our incoming freshmen are more SEC ready than we've seen before. I've seen coach-speak before and this is different.

Tried not to get hyped. I was unsuccessful. ready to ride.

If this is true, then you're no better than the political frickboys that have been throwing a hissy fit since trump got elected...

Aww, things didn't go your way? Cool, throw a bitch fit and sit in the corner pouting with your arms folded while everyone else celebrates the return of football.. keep all that bitchassness to yourself

So you're asking if I'm pouting like a spoiled little bitch who didn't get his way? The answer to that is no.

I'm excited to finally see year two of Aranda, what LSU's offensive talent can finally do in a new system, and whether Orgeron can manage the team's emotional peaks and valleys. If LSU stays relatively healthy, I think 10-2 is very possible this season.

More excited than in years. The sense of impending stupidity is lifted.

Anyone not hyped about LSU's season should turn in the Fan card.
I get hyped every year, so I'm prejudiced, but how can you not be excited???

no if he was screaming bloody murder, throwing tantrums in the streets, and chanting not my coach....then yes it would be similar.

He simply said the hire has left him less than enthused about the season, that's pretty reasonable.

No Bil, if the hire was the only change that was made since last season, I could understand the apathy...

But come on, we have so much to look forward to (new offense, returning sophomores, incoming freshmen), and so much to be thankful for (aranda staying), how could you not be excited??

I mean I get it, people aren't happy with the O hire, but come the frick on, we have a metric shite ton to be excited about

I'm excited about Canada in the future, just not so much this season and that's mainly because I have no faith in Danny Etling to be much different than last season. I saw no evidence of improvement or his back being healthy causing markedly better arm strength last week. O tells you they opened up with an Etling to Chark bomb, they leave out Chark was wide the hell open and had to wait on the ball because noodle arm under threw it, the DB was nearly able to make a play on a ball he had no business being able to.

the OL situation is also troubling.

While disagree with your pessimistic view of Etling and lack of excitement for the 2017 season, this quote made me laugh.

Yea me too

I do understand the skepticism of etling... but the whole gist of the thread was the upcoming season being 'blah' and I just think that's really, really far from the case

Just look at ole miss, imagine how they feel
