Is there drama? He's committed to Texas and has been for a while. What is dramatic about that?

I went to this board and recruiting board to try to find this drama that the OP is talking about, since he didn't explain, and found nothing.

It's probably a case of a simple minded ranter who is throwing a fit bc a kid doesn't commit to LSU in the time frame that is acceptable to him.

Agree.

My favorite part:

I wonder what gave it away? The fact that he's committed to another school?

He only committed to Texas because mommy wanted to get paid monthly checks so whoever takes him is going to have to pay back Texas if he does not go there all the money

Elaborate for the uninformed. Has he already accepted money from Texas?

I have no idea how this works in today’s NIL environment.

Apparently his comp is Percy Harvin. If that is accurate, then I’d say we need to find a way to get him to campus.

Or we find a kid who is currently playing like Percy Harvin at the college level and spend there instead.

He's been verbally committed to Texas for nearly a year..

going to every school and then getting on social media and posting some cryptic bullshite about how maybe that school is now possibly the front runner

You mean sort of flighty and social media obsessed. Almost like the kid is in high school

yeah, I wouldn't be upset if they didn't pick LSU.

Upset? Nah.

Disappointed? Of course I would, for a five-star we had a shot at.

Surprised? Not in the least.

He's literally Chase 2.0 when it comes to recruiting. Brother Martin isn't going to let him leave the state

How are they going to stop him? He’s going to go to whoever makes out the biggest check .

No need to worry he’ll end up at LSU at some point

I just think back to how upset I was about Bryce Underwood and that gives me peace.

Some of these kids decide solely on the biggest check.

But I firmly believe that is usually only a factor, especially when the differences in the check are less significant than people online believe they are. Is School X going to offer 25% higher or 3% higher than School Y that has much more appeal for whatever reason?

25% may make the difference; 50% almost certainly would, but 3% or 5% may not and probably won't if the reason resonates deeply for the player.

Using that logic, we'd have never gotten Jamarr Chase nor Leonard Fournette. Fournette was heavily enamored with Bama because of Saban. Chase liked a few schools and was actually committed to Florida at one point.

Back then, things like what kind of offense a team ran, how early you could get playing time, relationships with coaches and the opportunity to compete for championships were the major decision points recruits had to consider. Now it’s all about getting the biggest NIL deal.

Put the money in a proven product. He’ll be back if he’s successful and we put up the money.

If he has the chest, he’ll be here. If not, someone else will. No big deal.

Jamar Chase had the same type of recruitment. He was definitely worth the circus. Stop being so damn emotional.

We’ll get em next year.

It just seems like he’s not totally bought into LSU and that guys that aren’t 100% P&G blood seem to not live up to expectations.

Most players now don’t give a shite about the school they choose. Those days are long gone. It’s about who can pay me the most and that’s it.

And anyone who thinks otherwise, I have some ocean front property in AZ you may be interested in.

I think the more concerning thing about him is the little tiff of not playing or at least his team saying he isn’t gonna play his senior year. That’s a bigger red flag to me on him than jumping around and taking visits.
