Y’all worry about the strangest things.
If Coach was worried about it he would make the changes necessary.
LSU is not the center of the college football universe and it serves no purpose to worry about things beyond your control.

Unless you play a team based in Hawaii (or I think out of the country) you have to apply for an exception and NCAA has to approve it. I understand wanting to but it may not be as simple as just deciding to schedule one.

There is a huge advantage gained by doing this and quite frankly, I don't know why we don't simply write a clause in to our contract.

Fla State’s first game is against a lowly opponent who doesn’t have LSU’s speed. It may work against them.

This bull-shite is ALL on the LSU 'brain-trust' [ is Verge Ausberry ? }...we continually sign 'home/home' contracts where LSU ALWAYS has the AWAY game first...what happens ?? Storms/covid..whatever and we NEVER get the home game ! We obviously should/could include a clause stating the FIRST game season opener shall be the FIRST game for BOTH teams !! WHY the F$%^ is this not 'fore-seen' by the administration ?

it won't have any impact on our game with FSU. They play FCS Duquesne, which will be a glorified scrimmage for them.
We could scrimmage ourselves and it would have more benefit than playing a cupcake in week 0.

I see it as it gives us a week to direct scout game situations by them as well as risk for injury. I would also show the team the UCLA game last year as a reminder.

I coach and the improvement from week one to two is huge. You can REALLY see what your problems are and how to fix them. I hate that they have a leg up on us, but hopefully we can overcome it.
