"Harris' stats were off the charts" against second team defenses or subpar competition late in the game. He got a look at a first team SEC defense in Auburn and looked downright awful. Just sayin.

Harris can throw it the entire field and is super talented (we all know this) but he doesn't put in the work that AJ does in the film room. He said not a day goes by that he's not in the film room or working with WR's.

I dont care if he watches film all day and night.

that doesnt make you the better football player, it makes you the better coach.

frick.

Which of our qbs has the most upside?

You don't start a QB based on which one has more upside. Otherwise, we would have started Mett in 2011 and said goodbye to an undefeated season. You start the QB that gives you the best chance to win next week.

kept trying to get JJ in the film room to no avail. He says JJ had NFL ability but wouldn't put in the work to get better and grow.

So then Miles likes AJ because of film time, but liked JJ because of NOT film time?

you cant make this shite up.

it was literally his first start ever as a college QB.
on the road. vs a top 5 team.

we've seen jennings play for 10 games. I know a lot are saying to bench jennings. i just wish harris had any sort of playing time at all.

I think we could have been undefeated with Mett. That team was so good, it made people forget how truly shitty JJ and JL were.

JL sucked.

Not that year. JL had a long streak of no INTs and I believe he was among the leaders of QB efficiency that year.

Checking the stats, he threw 13 TDs, 3 INTs, and had a QB rating of 152.0 which led the SEC. Was he great? No - but he did not suck.

What did suck for him is that he had one bad game against Alabama and Jefferson, to his credit, played well enough for us to win the 9-6 game.

But Jefferson was atrociously, disgustingly bad in the SEC title game and the BCS game. Lee should have gotten time in both. He had earned it with his play earlier in the season. He had an opportunity to exorcise the Alabama demons, and was ready to go in. For whatever reason (will someone please write a damn book to explain this?), he never got the call.

Harris's problems were nerves related. I've seen him make all the throws he missed against auburn when he was at home and in a rhythm. To judge him solely on how he peformed in his first start on the road against a top 5 team is laughable.

Harris can have "it" with experience. Jennings can't, IMO. Like he said, he's been in the film room nonstop. He needs to realize his problems aren't film related.

He also came in to the end of another game and immediately threw a pick.

Lee isn't a good QB.

He played well because you team around him was so good.

He was averaging 156 yards a game. Thats not great, but we were also running all over fools, and RR and OBJ were Elite receivers.

He was very efficient because we rarely threw and when we did it was high effeceincy throws. He crumpled under pressure. Thats why we pulled him in the Bama game.

Now was Jordan Jefferson better? NO

But I think Mett was.

It's maddening people continue to judge Harris for ONE HALF where clearly he was simply juiced up a bit much and completely ignore the fact just about any other time he's been on the field the offense has looked much much better than it ever has under Jennings.

Can you blame him? He came in super late in the UK game where the coaches asked him to do nothing the entire time except hand it off until the game was over and on a 3rd and forever asked him to throw it and the guy was just trying to make a big play. It was probably thrown out of pure frustration more than anything.

His development has been downright awful by the coaching staff, seriously, awful.

Yep, remember how terrible JaMarcus was in his 1st start @ UF.

Go fricking figure people bases this kid's whole body of work against a bad game against Auburn! Did I miss the part when Jennings came in a had a stellar performance against Auburn after Harris got benched?

Cameron sees these two everyday. He discusses the previous week's performance. He watches film with them. He puts in the game plan with them. He sees them in practice. he quizzes them in the meeting room. he knows the knowledge of the offense of both of them. he knows what they both can and cant do.

Jennings plays, Harris doesnt. I am certain they play the guy who they feel gives LSU the best chance to win. So if harris doesnt play, it is because they dont feel like he is ready. Why is this so hard for some people to understand?

So the argument is that the coaches decisions are flawless?

interdasting....that seemed to be wrong with the Welter saga.

Oh, ok. Thanks for clarifying when it's ok to place blame and give credit...when it fits your agenda.

Harris needs to work harder. From the fall practice reports it was commented that Jennings "wanted it more". That continues to sound like it's the case unfortunately.

Sucks that the more physically gifted player may not be busting arse. I Hope Harris and Cam get it together, dude should be a real good QB.

I don't care about if he starts or not, but could they at least let him run a series or two per half if even just to give the defense a different look? I don't care if it's 5 plays. a couple of read option plays and 3 pass plays or something.
