TRANSFER UPDATE: @LSUbaseball lands Indiana State transfer RHP Luke Hayden, who has a huge arm with big-time potential. Will definitely be a sizable #MLBDraft risk, but I think it's worth the risk to take him.

Depends, can never really tell in the MLB past the 1st round. He is a good pitcher, idk how much NIL we are offering him, idk if he is actually a LSU guy or just taking the biggest bag or a Jay Johnson fan from whatever he told him in his meeting.

Would be a big addition for sure, and if he comes here and does similar or more he could improve his stock.

Jay isn't effing around withthe bullpen, I see. No wonder that Cam Johnson kid left, he was probably told there wasn't going to be room for him

Obviously you can never have enough pitching but I’m ready to see some position players/hitters commit

There’s been some if you include the JUCOs.

Cams got a spot on this team if they get the top 5 pitchers in the country.

From what I saw he was a major project in the short term, probably not a starter or top reliever. With the portal you have to reload with top talent (in most cases proven talent) to stay relevant. He may be a great pitcher in the long term, but in today’s college baseball there is no long term.

In this era of the NIL/Portal no coach in his right mind is telling any kid with potential to "look around" or "there is no room for you"in June before the playoffs are even complete. Coaches cant afford to ship out players anymore unless they are a total washout and did not try to fix their problems.

In reality, they get a fact based review of what their future playing time might look like but at that time no coach has any idea what his roster is going to look like with players leaving and recruits shopping around.
