Obviously the polls in college basketball are irrelevant given we have a 68 team tournament. So you would think it would be in the best interest of the sport to set up a 1 v 2 game if, for nothing more, than to generate attention. It's not like Indiana will be left out of the tournament just because they were ranked #3 this week.

Bad job of marketing here for a sport that needs all it can get

UConn moved up one spot after losing to USCe. Must be some bias against KM to not want biggest promotion for Super Bowl undercard.

Good no respect. Should give Mulkey and the team an edge to work with

It's hilarious how much Kim Mulkey triggers the rest of women's college basketball

It makes zero sense not to try and promote a 1 vs 2 matchup here

Meh. Polls have been irrelevant for a while.

I'm just curious to finally find out how we really match up against the unquestionably best program in the game right now, and at their place no less. There is currently no greater challenge to be had.

I take joy in reminding myself this is only YEAR 2 of Mulkey ball and that it's only going to go up from here. Sunday will be fun and I want to win, but no negative result will discourage me.

I guess Indiana's loss to a terrible 3-9 Michigan State team is not part of these voter's research....They did pound Ohio Sate now that OSU has lost 4 of 5.

Probably Will Wade's fault.

To be honest LSU didn't impress v A&M and they barely beat a Georgia team at home, who's not good. That game seriously looked like a loss before the last two minutes.

The Lady Tigers will have to seriously up their game to be in the mix v USCe.

It’s 150% political, and pathetic. Watch the commercials that run during women’s basketball broadcasts to see what she’s fighting against.

This thread has not a damn thing to do with South Carolina. They are the undisputed #1 ranked team right now. This thread has to do with Indiana jumping us when they have a loss to very bad team and we are undefeated. Which is complete BS.

Makes sense. Our SoS is ridiculously mediocre compared to the other teams.

Flip side is it really that much different promoting a 1 vs 3 game instead of a 1 vs 2 game? If it’s a top five matchup either way I just don’t think it really matters that much in the long run.

You are right about one thing. Basketball polls are absolutely irrelevant and there only point us to give people something to talk about.

The SOS isn’t great. And the Tigers have looked less than perfect the last few games.

But this is 100% voters in the NE and Midwest not wanting the SEC to take over yet another sport.
