I wouldn't be surprised if Ole Miss lost to Arkansas even if Treadwell were healthy.

They will finish with 4 losses more than likely.

can we email Chris Low? if LSU is ranked in the top 18 of his ballot, we would move past Nebraska

and yes! these things matter because voters are very swayed by the media!

You are insufferable! It's an internet "power ranking". It carries as much weight as my own personal power ranking -- Absolutely Nothing. Plus, even if it did carry weight, a poll on Nov. 2nd is irrelevant.

It is truly humorous to see this many people get so worked up about a poll when there is still 6 weeks left in the season. Just about everyone still has 3-5 games left to play. Calm Down. At the end of the season the committee will sit down and evaluate every team's full body of work, just like they do in basketball. They will "seed" the teams 1-25 in the ONLY set of rankings that matter. Also just like in basketball, the polls will be largely irrelevant. Just watch when undefeated FSU is ranked #1 in the polls but #2 or #3 in the playoffs behind a one-loss SEC, Big 12 or Pac 12 champ.

Well negative press doesn't help recruiting regardless of whom it comes from.

Our 2 loses were bad. We need to beat the gumps to gain any respect.

Someone should bring this to his attention on Friday.

What makes it worse is we're #4 in the SEC Power Ranking

All of that is true.

But, he's still making a good point. There is no way you can justify LSU outside of the top 25...not with Wisconsin and Ole Miss being in the top 25.

It just goes to show you...these subjective polls (whether AP, coaches, playoff committee) are terrible. Bias, ignorance, laziness, etc. all come into play when you allow humans to decide who the best teams are.

Who cares when we beat Bama Saturday we will move up to 12th in cfp polls. One behind Bama by the way. May even move into lows top 25.

This is correct. These "experts" see the Ole Miss game as Ole Miss beating themselves rather than LSU winning the game.

I've always found Low not to be TOO biased. I'm thinking omission here too, which is bad. But he's an SEC blogger and omissions like that can happen. When his inner homer comes out it's for Tenn (which he's a native and a grad I think).

The fact that ESPN in an article that was reviewed by editorial staff didn't include LSU as a factor in why the SECW became so dominant (mentioned as 2nd tier on recruiting trail). Arkansas wasn't mentioned at all, so that means we're on their level in ESPN's opinion. Now many may say that they are only talking about this year; not true, Manziel and TAMU are listed as one of the key factors so they are talking a little bit of history there too.

So we question both ESPN's power rankings/ESPN's perception of LSU versus the Committee Poll. They seem to be on the same page with the same narrative.

On that note, all LSU can do is prove them wrong on the field. Beating Ole Miss was the first step.

ESPN is hyper political because it is owned by Disney, which is hyper political. Low obviously has an agenda. That is extremely clear. Such an outlier vote can be interpreted in no other way.

Chris Low (SEC reporter) did not rank us in his top 25. LINK Some sort of obvious negative bias at work here. Do not know what his problem is but he should no longer be allowed to vote. There is no reasonable argument to be made for this clear snub on his part.

And you know what ? It means exactly jack squat.

The only opinion that matters is the committee.
