There are maybe a handful of coaches in the world who would improve on Miles' winning percentage.
I'm not even sure Saban is one of them. Without the biases in Alabama's favor and their status as a program, I don't know if he wins as much as Miles

I'll watch the next two games (three with the bowl game) and smile briefly if we win, but that will be about the extent of it. I'm not going to be attached to the outcome of every play like the last two games.
I do think next year will be better, and for good reason. Not just like the rallying

Is it really the rule that you back them up 15 yards and then it's 1st and 10?
I don't know the rule, but I've seen it called that way in other games, so I'm guessing it's justified in at least some instances. It might normally just happen after changes of possession.

That didn't happen.

Saban might not be a great person to know, but I think he has a pretty good handle on how the business work and is able to speak honestly and fairly about a lot of things.
LSU score board link

I was just wondering if you guys could put a link to the score board on the home page. It would make it easier to navigate to it when reading an article.
Just a suggestion.

re: Last year's Bama game was tough to watch

Oh silly me. I thought Alabama was a good enough team to pull away every now and then at home. It must have just been because LSU quit, that makes much more sense.

He probably wasn't even smart enough to go to that shitty school.

The last two were tough to watch because I felt we played better in 2012 and at least the first three quaters of 2013, and it didn't show up on the scoreboard. I didn't feel like we got away with times of inferior play the same way they did.

Mr Cornhole:
I seem to remember Alabama fans thinking they would have an easy time with Auburn and Oklahoma last season. I'm also pretty sure they didn't call the loss to Ole Miss or the 1-point win over Arkansas.
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

I don't think they made us quit. We just hit a wall and started to seem overwhelmed, and then it was all over.
It's hard to be behind the 8-ball in the fourth quarter in a hostile environment. Just ask Bo Wallace. I don't recall one of our players ever being that much of a punk though.

I started to become aware of football in the late 80s. My uncle gave me a copy of the 1989 media guide. I would read about each season one at a time, and I kept seeing WWWWWW L to Alabama WWWWLWWWW L to Alabama, etc. It didn't even seem to matter how good they were.

I guess it's good to remind people who might be somewhat informed to vote. Les probably doesn't bother with politics enough to have a strong opinion anyway.
re: Would LSU be Undefeated Today With Bama's Schedule?
Posted by theknightswhosay on 11/4/14 at 8:01 pm
I would say no. I don't think we would have beaten Ole Miss on the road in the first week of October. I don't think Florida was any better than we were, so I don't think the result of that game changes. Also, Alabama played them at home. So same wins and losses Bama actually has.

Most LSU fans will probably laugh at me, but I don't drink enough to really feel impaired unless it's something painful like the BCS championship against Bama. I like to be fully aware of the game.
I needed about a shot of whiskey for each half against Ole Miss. That kept me reasonably level. T

People have been talking about how good Alabama is for 5 years. Seriously?
That wasn't what I was trying to convey anyway. I'm saying that Alabama isn't going to feel that way about LSU.
