I get everyone is mad this morning. LSU should win that game, they didn't. shite happens.

For everyone wanting baker gone:

Say he gets a HC job next year, what optimism do you have for a whole new defensive staff next year and a whole new system?. The offense will be better, but the defense will likely be worse next year.

So all the people saying, wait until year 2, be careful. Because a new DC may not be as good as baker. Then what?. Baker and the defense choked last night, no question. His defenses leave a lot to be desired in big games, but are we sure that a new DC will be any better?

It won’t be a whole new defensive staff. It will be Chris Kiffin.

Bright side of not making the playoff is we might have a chance at retaining both coordinators. Don’t kid yourselves, injuries are hurting the defense.

With a new regime coming in Baker should've taken the Tulane job.

Baker has proven over his time here that he can’t get the defense to rise up in critical games. So how does LSU ever win a natty with him calling the defense?

In which games vs teams with a decent or better offense has Baker's defense performed well since he got here?

first of all I don’t think Blake Baker is going anywhere next year unfortunately. No Team is going to pay him 3+ million dollars a year to be a head coach especially after this year. Chris Kiffin has never been a defensive coordinator in a standalone role in college football. He’s only ever been a co-defensive coordinator and not for very long. If he hires his brother, it will be the beginning of the end for Lane and he knows it.

Injuries weren't why Baker loves playing as if every play will be a Hail Marry pass during a crucial drive. Injuries aren't why there was a ten yard hole for a qb draw.

Baker is pretty good, other than when the game is in the most crucial moments on the road. I don't know who is better, but is there a single person in America, besides LSU's money men who think Baker is worth what he's getting paid?

It’s easier to turnover a defensive staff than offensive. Just get good players on defense and the new guy can hit the ground running

LSU has one chance. Lane will have to build an unbelievable offense and protect Baker. If it comes down to crunch time Baker is going to shite the bed. Lane has to make his decisions accordingly. He has to assume in crunch time his offense has to carry the load.

I agree. But it doesn't always work out that way. I am tired of seeing this defense shite the bed in big moments. So many chances last night to make a statement and just completely shite the bed. Offense too.
