That's not a good thing. Modern college football pretty much requires a dynamic player at quarterback.

He's asked to do RPO's and to do that effectively one must threaten to run. He threatens.

This isn't the first time I've heard this comment about RPOs. I'm not sure our fanbase understands what an RPO is.

Max missed some easy throws. Not just one, but several. His mechanics seem to have fallen back.

We must have hired Les Miles as an analyst.

I agree. Max is probably good in a 10-7 type game where you need to move the ball slowly downfield.
Max isn't going to get this team moving vertically. He doesn't have the arm or vision right now.

To me it's pretty clear the offense wasn't geared toward Max, but Myles.

The play was 3-7 yard dump play, that is what UCLA was giving up.

every pass beyond ten yards was either a horribly inaccurate bullet or a floater. How is a starting QB in the SEC incapable of making a real throw?

The finality of it set in on me when Max tried to hit Boutte down the sideline early in the game and threw the ball 10 yards out of bounds.

It took forever to get there, and while Boutte had a step, it didn't matter. There was no way Max was fitting the ball in there.

Its is clear none of u have ever played QB!!!U have to get a little blocking but Max got none! We don't have coaching that can change the scheme ! LONG SEASON !

Not in Max's defense. He has terrible accuracy and can't throw deep passes even when he has time.

The biggest improvement in a team is between week 1 and week 2.

Max had issues in week 1. There's no denying that. So did the defense, the offensive line, and certainly the coaches. (Especially the coaches. That was the most poorly designed run attack I've ever seen. Ever.)

Now we will see who improves.

Look I don't think he was perfect by any means but he was far from the biggest problem.

I agree with this. I was on the ledge, but willing to see what happens when Max gets comfortable with this shitty offensive scheme.

IDK anything about playing QB, but my son will play it tonight for the first time in high school. I’m looking for accuracy…to me that is everything. Yea, I’d like to see some snap on the ball, but not at the cost of accuracy. Throw those boys open.

Simply clueless. You are judging another QBs ability, by using the lack of performance from someone else. If thats the case, then no coach would ever pull a QB, because By God, the next guy wont succeed either

Of the teams that either Brennan of Max started against (Moos St, Vandy, Mizzou, Ole Miss, UF, or UCLA), Missouri had the best defense. And Myles torched them for 430 yards. And LSU only rushed for 49 yards then too

Yep

That game plan had Myles written all over it, not Max. Myles would have opened up the field and hit those ducks that Max missed.

Max is great. No complaints with him. Hard to throw accurate balls when you are getting pressured so quickly every play. Even still, he made some great throws (some were dropped).

Outside of maybe that hot read to Trey Palmer he low balled (would have been a touchdown), I thought he played really well.

Myles would also have been on his backside some, whereas Max escaped some of those situations.

I was surprised LSU didn't run any screen passes against UCLA's blitz.

Did you not watch The opening game last year? MB is a statute, like most qb’s under pressure, doesn’t do very well. Once MB got hit several times, his play would have been like max, inconsistent.

Your entire example is Mizzou. He was at the 1 and couldn’t win the game on 4 plays. Yet he would torch a UCLA team that is much better than that mizzou team. Before making comments about MB torching teams, think about the games he’s won first.

How in the world was the game plan built for Myles when he's been out for about three weeks now?
