This happens all the time. Just cause you know where you want to go doesn't mean you stop hearing out every option. We don't know if he broke his verbal agreement because he wasn't given the chance. So instead of making Herman look like he lied, Alleva comes out looking bad.

You are right tigerdew. It may not be realistic to think these agents or coaches act admirably. Maybe Herman trips on his dick at the dumpster fire known as UT. maybe he learns he should honor his word next time frick his young punk arse if he can't stick to his word. negotiation implies that there is not a deal in place, verbal or otherwise. Alleva looked at the situation, saw it for what it was imo, and said LSU is not a barter chip for you to get better money elswhere.

I just don't get the Coach O hate. Players LOVE him and "walk through fire" for him. Go back and look at the comments from the USC players when he took over there. The players wanted Coach O. Use the QB analogy, we just need a leader that will manage the game, recruit, and pump up the team. Let the OC and DC do their jobs.
I don't get it. Everyone bitched about Miles' micromanaging style and now we have a HC that lets the OC and D.C. do their jobs.
Just need a new OC and O-line coach.
I'm excited.
